  1. Tried Invoice Simple last night. It is really simple but looks professional and is easy to edit per quote/Invoice. Thanks. Also notifies when when client has read it so you know they have seen it!!
  2. I've tried using word on my phone but it doesn't let me write any text into documents on word, office or excel!!
  3. Looking for some simple and free templates to use for quotes and invoices. I don't actually send many quotes and invoices by email so don't want to use sites like Freashbooks etc. A simple template I can easily edit per job is all I am after, searched this site but I cannot find anything so all help is appreciated. Thanks
  4. Can i come and work for you too please!?

    New saws

Cool. I've never used a MkI so won't notice any difference but it sounds a wicked saw!!

    New saws

What makes the Mk II so much different from the. Mk I?
  8. Oh I've decided on a name too........ Worboys Garden Care Simple, short and does what it says! Googled similar names/companies and there are only 2-3 people with similar names and none of them are around my area, or are spelt slightly different to me.
  9. Possibly, not sure how many other companies start with an A or AA! One brief name idea I did have was ARK garden care. My name and my son's name (Mark) combined. Or just my son's name with first letter taken off ?
  10. Solid advice Edward thank you. Worboys Garden Care & AW Garden (enter chosen word here) are current favourites.
  11. I want to change it so it isn't as long and generic as it currently is! Also a nice short name is easier to remember and pass on over a long winded name.
  12. Interesting! I've posted this same question in a Garden Maintenance forum and not 1 person has gone for M.G.M.
  13. Morning folks. I'm thinking of having a name change for next year. As I've only been doing self-employed work for the last few months of this year I want to get more established in 2020 and need a more suitable permanent name. Below is a list of current ideas I've had all with some thought and meaning behind them. The first option is what I currently trade under, but I want something that stands out more then the compition and one that people will remember. I know quality of work is more important then the name of a business but having a rememrable name aswell as good quality work can only be a good thing! N.B. my self-employed work is only garden maintenance style work, very little tree stuff. Thanks.
  14. How many of the homeless know about this though?

    New saws

Or8 people, I'm getting a new ground saw and top handle in the next few weeks. I've gone for the Husky 550 (don't know if I'll get the mk 1 or 2) and the T535i XP. What's peoples experiences with either of these saws? I know the 550 has a good reputation but don't know much about the top handle. Thanks.
  16. I had a pair of Pfanner chainsaw trousers once and they were the comfiest I'd ever had! Also had more handy pockets then others I've had.
  17. These are the 3 cheapest books I can find, any reviews of them? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372032682973 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332399313566 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F172940976199
  18. Just been browsing Amazon, eBay etc. looking for some arb related books to help me learn more about trees/arboriculture and I can't believe how expensive all the books are! Usually you can get stuff pretty cheap on Amazon but the cheapest one I found was £30, going all the way up to £100 plus. Any advice on where to find some good but reasonably priced books from please? I already have Urban Trees: A practical management guide and The Tree Climbers Companion books. Cheers.
  19. Dog shit, nappies, tampons, condoms, piss bottles, needles, all the usual. One of the most unusual though was half a cucumber in a pair of ladies tights and a bottle of ky jelly at the side.
  20. I think there is a difference between been physically strong and looking muscular. I've seen gym guys struggle at work, not just on tree work but any manual labour work, where as the skinny guys have been fine. I don't just mean sweating or been tired due to carrying extra(muscle) weight but actually not been as strong as they look. I know that may not make sense but if you're a worker, you're a worker, if you go to the gym to look beefy it doesn't necessarily mean you can put that muscle to use.

    Decent book?

The book arrived Tues and it'd been an interesting so far.
  23. Thanks for the reply Monkey face will certainly have a look at the links. I think the two courses I mentioned in the OP are not recognised by anyone other then HCC, but it's just something I want to do for myself at the moment to learn more about arboriculture. Hopefully in the future I will be able to do the full ABC/ RFS course and gain a widely recognised qualification!
  24. Come across this on amazon and wondered if anyone has had a read of it? Is it worth purchasing for a tenner?
