  12. for adults go hunting at night or step some kind of trap for grubs chemical treatment to soil to be honest there not much to be done. we are own worst emery's as vine weevil love wood type soil (rich in leaf mold) and that soil we emulate in gardens.
  13. it bacterial shothole in other bacterial canker there also some vine weevil damage around the edge of leaf but it days are numbered
  14. Hey i am aware of pole it on site assessment. the pole you can see is the last one and cable comes straight down, underground and across under the bridge which is just out of shot. on oppsite side of the tree is a small lawn so i plan on zip lineing as most if not all tree in that direction it going to be small bits at time i think. tradtional lowering would be to risky as there steep bank next to tree and stream at the bottom so i feel that it may lead to accident or people slipping down the bank
  15. well if i called back to remove it it just means a few more penny to pocket. what annoy me more is when people plant a tree so close to house in first place. the client in this instances it pretty understanding and there is promise of few works and there some big conifers to be remove (not fave removable but still)
  16. wow well that was alot of more information than i expected. i think i going to go with pollard option and say it require regular pruning every 3 to 5 years depending on growth thank you for help i get so confused BS3998 sometimes with terminology.
  17. well let hope the planning pays off and it run smooth
  18. ok it going to be nightmare of job as there steep banking and stream once side house and small garden on other along with heaps of comfiers around so most it have to speed-line out and then large section careful rigged ouu
  19. would they help it regain it shape? (over several years and pruning it every few years)
  20. I been asked by client to reduce this rather large ash normal i would feel fair happy about but here were my problem lies. The tree was topped maybe 30 years ago and everything gone straight up and with butchering the tree how do i retain a nice shape or every get a nice shape back. The customer wants it down by half if not lower due to proximity to house so how would you go about it? Skyview
