  1. Stay well away. Promise everything, deliver nothing, but it's your fault for not spending enough money with them. Over the term of my year contract can you fathom a guess for my ROI? it ryhmes with 'hero' even then it was as difficult as they could make it to cancel.
  2. Ahh, bugger. Thanks for the info. Seems odd to stand for improving industry standards and H&S, but restrict a worthwhile resource for the little outfits... Guess I'll just have to dust of my copy of Office '97
  3. I'm trying to look the Arb Associations risk assessment templates to get my own sorted, but I'm being hit with "Access to the page '/Help-Advice/Public/Help-for-arborists' is denied." when clicking the link... I'm logged in, even tried registering with another email with the same result. I'm hoping one the AA techies might be able to help...? Cheers,
  4. Hi all, Does anyone have any tip sites around Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby they're willing to share? Cheers.
  5. 1) deciding I want to get into the industry at 33 2) Spending 3 years and £thousands getting tickets. 4) spending week 4 of the career change in A&E with a 201t 14 stich "booboo" to my hand 5) still thinking I made the right choice...
  6. Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice. I want to plant a small selection of fruit trees in the garden, but come lunch time during the summer the area is heavily shaded by a large beech tree in the neighbours garden. Could you advise any varieties of pear, apple, plum, etc. that could tolerate the position?
  7. I just edited my post after noticing, the OP has already tried verbal communication 😉 The bottle of wine, or a few cold beers is always a good shout 👍 Sent from my SM-T800 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. If they're not responding to your letter, or your verbal communication, I'd personally try the gently gently approach a few more times. Then include involving the council that may result in them having to cover costs. Usually the prospect of losing money gets people moving. Sent from my SM-T800 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Cs38?

Piece of piss. Everything you need to know is taught on the training days. I don't think there's time limit as such, but if the assessor thinks you're taking too long, he'll deem you incompetent. Sent from my SM-T800 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Yeah, got my 38. My main barrier is pay. What I need and what the industry pays for my level of experience don't marry... Just one of those things at the mo Sent from my HTC One using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Had a few odd days here and there but nothing to really be classed as solid experience Sent from my HTC One using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. I've not long passed my 38 and struggle to find someone to climb with as regularly as I'd like so, before my son was born, (climbing is on the back burner now) I just went out a few times a week and did some rec climbing on my lonesome - not exactly good advice but it's either that, or I'd have to wait for months and months before climbing... Always make sure someone knows where you're going and keep in touch.
  13. I'd love to see some photo's of whats available. Bristol's a bit of a trek for me to have a look, but if your willing to post, obviously I'd covers costs - and something extra for a good cause.
  14. The weird start to summer seems to have stunted their progress inshore thus far.
