  1. Morning all, Sorry to hear of your cat woes Stubby. Our 12 year old chocolate lab nearly succumbed to pneumonia while we were abroad, but bounced back fortunately. They melt your heart then break it, these furry fellers. Pruning small garden trees today.
  2. I use my 1975 series 3 Land Rover for all the local non heavy towing work once we are out of winter and not in a heat wave. Avoids DPF congestion in the Hilux.
  3. Unusual for us to work more than 12 miles away. Not much time spent travelling to and from the job. Also, not as much energy as I had 20 years ago, and accidents more likely when tired. So for me shorter day is good.
  4. Morning all, Lazy Sunday, sister coming over. Have a good one.
  5. Plywood boards with top quality felt, 2 layers, torched on.
  6. Nothing beats the smell of damp dog in confined spaces. Morning all, Rain off and on here. Doing a couple of more quotes, then roofer coming to look at replacing the wriggly tin roof on the workshop. Can't wait to get rid of dripping condensation in winter.
  7. Morning all, Rain here again, and well into the weekend. Some mower sharpening and quotes to do. Lots quote requests coming in now. Have a good day all.
  8. If there was already a fence in place, surley you can't need planning permission to replace it/put another one up? Is the photo taken from inside or outside your garden?
  9. Morning all, Rain here for the day. Fine by me, 3 days back in and achey and tired, largely due to lingering virus no doubt picked up in airport/plane. A day to do some office work, drink coffee, and maybe later try to diagnose petrol leak on Countax mower. I would guess at the carb float chamber/needle valve.
  10. Morning all, I'd forgotten how scratched you get moving around inside a yew. Vicious dead twigs etc. Dying pine dismantle today only 2 miles away, and I am on the ground. Some nice fuel for the boiler as well. Be good, stay safe.
  11. Morning all, Rain settled, looking pleasant for rest of day. Pruning and shaping a yew today. Husband wants it gone, wife wants to keep it, so met half way. As Mick commented, I have found the phone is ringing more agin now. Have a good day all.
  12. So you have CRAFT syndrome.
  13. Jo-Beau M300 is plenty tall enough with the rotating spout, hence need to raise the bin up a bit.
  14. Standard wheelie bin, standing on small pallet with a couple of 4x3 timbers on top of pallet to make sure chip hits the rear wall of bin, rather than going over the top. I have the optional rotating spout, fixed one is a waste of time, IMO. In fact we left chippings on site today, but I have used this wheelie bin setup some yers ago with my previous Jo-Beau. Made the job easier today, rather than dragging out to the road. Would have been OTT to take the tracked Forst into the little garden!
  15. Morning all, That is good news. Doing a small job today, minor pruning to a couple of cherries, chipping up a small fallen conifer. Taking the Jo-Beau and hopefully leaving chips for ground cover. If not, we'll be testing the wheelie bin chip receiver.
  16. Morning all, Had a long lie in after yesterday’s lack of sleep. Might do a bit in the garden. Hope Peds is bearing up ok.
  17. Morning all, Back from Sicily, flight late, got home 3am. Sorry no pine cone Pete, didn’t go there. Grass has grown with the rain!
  18. Morning all, Off to Sicily for 12 days. Be good y’all and hope recovery goes well with Peds.
  19. What's the issue with the dust?
  20. Good to hear from you Peds. How are you doing?
  21. Morning all, Lazy Sunday. Hope we hear from Peds soon.
  22. Morning all, Couple of small quotes to do, then chose at home. Hoping to hear good news from Peds.
  23. Hope surgery goes well Peds. Keep us posted on how you’re getting on, and hope your recovery is quick and full.
  24. Very sorry to hear that Peds. Hope it is nothing too serious. Speedy recovery to you.
  25. Morning all, Fine morning again here. Back to pressure washing render it is then.
