  1. Per day? Per stump? I don't own one, and at about £80 a day from the local hire shop, don't think I can be competitive cheers
  2. Newbie question, on this subject... If you are climbing with any of these mechanical devices, what do you do before you have a top anchor point? Because you can't climb off both ends of the rope? Am I correct? So are they only suitable if you are using an accurate throw line every time? Rather than climbing both ends with prusiks? Soz for the post hijack
  3. Building a website, in order to get it ranking up the search engines, need to be updating it with content regularly. I thought a fun way of doing this would be to post up videos for every half interesting job. Seen some pretty impressive vids as far as work and camera/production skills on here. So. What set ups are people using? Cameras/attachments/mounts/remote triggers/ect. Cheers!
  4. I've been looking into this for my 11 plate l200 long bed. Had 2 quotes so far... £2700 plus vat and £7765 plus vat Not sure which one to go for yet...
  5. Got a job that needs doing this week ideally, been let down by my guy. Grayshott, hampshire. one day £250 Take down, tidy up, burn. Cheers, Tom

  7. Just spoken with another firm (both within 10mins of me) £300 plus VAT !!!! Jokers
  8. I don't have any invoices, they are going to use my bank statements, this time. Next year is quoted at £1,065. Me having set up a business account and having invoices. I was expecting £300-£500, but I pulled that out of thin air
  9. What should I be paying? Been building a small business in my spare time for a year, all cash in hand. As of now I am going full time, doing my own private jobs and subbing on railway. I'm a sole trader, the accountant is going to backdate all my expenses and income from the last year of part time work. Been quoted £1,155 this year. To register for self employed To record sales and purchase invoices from incomplete records on to computerised accounts package To file year end self assessment return online with HMRC Seems high to me, or am I just being naive?
  10. Re seated the manifold. Still no change. all filters and breathers are ok, fuel lines changed, diaprahms changed, spark plug changed. Stumped...

  12. Just realised this is in the wrong place, better suited to Maintenance section apologies
  13. Hi, new to the forum, first post... Having some issues with a Stihl BG85 blower I'm repairing for a friend. Problem is: engine will always start, but will immediately die with anything over quarter throttle, no matter how slowly you feather it up. So far I have rebuilt and cleaned the carb. Replaced all carb diaphragms and gaskets, replaced leaky fuel line, replaced the spark plug. Checked and cleaned fuel and air filters and tank breather. Checked for the exhaust filter being clogged, which is not present and free flowing. Problem remains. Discussion on Yank forums points to a problem with the ignition coil. Any suggestions before I shell out for a new one? Cheers Kev
