I doubt a rotator would have the torque needed
Ditto.
Torque is king

The machinery being used looked to be contractors in all fairness as had they're name and number on the tractors and baler. Must be expensive drying and pressing into the blocks though
Drying and pressing with the right machines is not an expensive process.
Buying the right machines to dry and press the material is very expensive.

Has anybody tried Approved hydraulics AH800CS cone splitter, we are looking to fit it to a 15 tonne machine.
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Under powered, better off spending slightly more coin and going for a Lasco with 3 motors.
The guy admitted this himself.

Hopefully the link above works, I know it's been a long time coming and some of you wanted to see my prpcesspr so here's a a vid of my Dalen 2054 doing what it does best haha, if the link didn't work search " DALEN 2054 firewood processor, Hertfordshire, England" on YouTube and it should come up!
Be good to see some vids (or pics) of you guys and your machines, I find it good to see different people setups and toys!
Is it .404 chain or 3/8?

Welcome to come see our Krpan. Recon if I ran it at it's max PTO RPM it would as fast that woodline and much better made if memory serves me right.Prefer waist height table but suppose lower ok for billets?
I do NOT want to be reaching up with both arms to operate! That looks awful!
Are all the large vertical splitters not operated this way? Uniforest, Kpran, Posch, Binderberger etc?
No doubt for health and safety.
Cant say its ever bothered me personally.
I had a splitter similar to the woodline, but the push down levers always felt too low for me and awkward to operate.
Multec do a good vertical splitter for rings, but I don't think they offer a pto version. Easily converted though, just mores monies.

I was half way through an application last winter, I was approved for the first stage and asked to submit a full application. This was a FC scheme via the EU and actioned by Defra
However the terms and conditions were pretty onerous to the point that I considered it not really worth going forward given the volumes I do and the storage space I have. In a nutshell the need to employ extra people, full planning consent on processing site and storage area and the need to expand the storage space to accommodate extra product.
With ash die back getting worse every farmers son with a chainsaw is going to be selling cheap firewood so I saw no sensible return on the investment.

Unless they can plug in a GPS, they wont be interested.

Add some burst oil to the creosote

Bought a Duun vmx 420 couple of months ago can't knock it and takes the bent stuff better than most.
The guards are well designed on the Duun for taking bent stuff.

Sorry, I meant the chainsaw is from a hydraulic motor. There's no belts on the machine.
I think both manufacturers should produce, or make it an option, where all splitter heads are a one piece system, instead of having individual splitters, 4 way, 6 way, 8 way, 12 way.
Rabaud do this on their 420 machine.
Just my opinion
