BSW obviously believe in briquettes anyway
-
And there is your answer, too much flow for the valve, a flow divider would sort the problem
Ok.
Any more information would be much appreciated

That sounds like you will be throttling it on the spool, which may cause heating unless it's a closed circuit system.
I've previously done away with the quick connectors when they restricted flow too much and caused the oil to heat.
Open circuit hydraulics

New issue, as recently upgraded my tractor.
Tractor puts out 110 litres a minute. Manual spools, only one seems to be adjustable.
Previous tractor put out 85 litres a minute

I have, someone robbed the PTO pump off my trailer the only spare I had was running a side arm flail and massively over size. It was practically unworkable but it served to get the legs up and crane stowed.
In hydraulics, too much is not always a good thing
One spool is adjustable, I will need to try it screwed right down.

It's not something I have experienced, even with a quick release supply to a FAE mulcher.
Does it get hot at all?
Not overly
-
Did you change both the male and female quick release couplings..?
Yes did that, all new, all matching manufacturers
-
The feed hose is still popping out.
Tried everything suggested.
Anybody?

Gav says Pawert
A very good machine.
Wont be many of those in the UK.

I think its flow fit who sells log splitter kits, ram, valve engine etc.
Worth a look for ideas

My boss imported a machine and sold it to a joinery shop, so I had some decent 50mm briquettes to try, they were well formed with a shiny surface and burned like big pellets.
By hollow core do you mean there was an empty hole in the stacked pallet?
A sign of quality, a shiny surface.
Do you remember the make of the machine?

A cord wood man told me that he would deliver a 20t load to a customer he would have a old saw and a old van and 20year later he would still have a old saw and a old van

That's because they don't make them like they use too

it uses the same binding agent and same process as chipboard
No, that's not true

What's the problem, lack of standing timber coming on the market, or lack of demand from the mills?
-
I'll change the fitting on Monday, see if that works
-
Did you consider an electric PTO drive?
-
She's still popping out.
Returning to the tank now and not through the spool.
Fitted a new male quick release coupling, incase it was worn.
If the flow rate from the tractor is too high, could this be the problem?

It's catch 22, I've got 15 woodfuel pellet rhi customers & 4 log rhi customers who require the licence numbers I've been audited for. I have gained business as a result, so will stick with the scheme.
Pellets are now coming in from the Baltics with BSL accreditation.
It has been rumoured Verdo are ceasing production of pellets at Grangemouth and are importing only. They are only taking in enough round wood to do them untill the end of the year.

Ok thanks I will try tomorrow and let you know.

So I have two hydraulic hoses plugged into the back of the tractor, one flow one return, to work my timber crane.
Every so often the flow hose pops out of the tractor and the crane instantly stops working.
Sometimes the lever for activating the spool, inside the tractor, disengages and sometimes it doesn't, when the hose pops out.
Any thoughts much appreciated.

I have a Bandit Beast 1680 for sale
Diesel engine, can handle just over 20 inches

Pellets imported from Estonia are a BSL accredited fuel, have I missed something?? Surely these have a huge carbon footprint?
