  1. Why do we need separate user name and password to access Arb Trader so annoying.
  2. I've got 2 x pairs of Schliesing 440 blades, any idea what they're worth before I post on Arb Trader & bay?
  3. Heavy machines so be prepared to either lay boards on lawns or make good afterwords. Plenty of grunt but bit too top heavy for me and getting through narrow access is great as long as you don't need to turn tight corners with the grinding arm fixed out front.
  4. It was, there were three and I'm guessing you're the guy that had the chipper demo but left before we did the third using the predator 38.
  5. Does anybody know if the grinding arm moves down at the beginning of each pass in auto mode operation? My understanding is this only happens once where the arm grinds left to right and back before lowering to start the process again doubling the time to grind a stump versus manual operated machines where you can lower the grind head before each pass. Can the machine be operated in manual mode as well as auto? Have asked Jo Beau & Global but they're on Easter Holiday so hoping someone on here may be able to help.
  6. We should all bombard her with congratulations on a great idea - just don't use your real email or she'll come looking for you! 😉
  7. Wow I thought batteries only last around 20 mins doing crown reduction work.
  8. I'll Speak to FR Jones they've been really helpful in the past.
  9. I guess not many people using battery saws and cutters. My gut feeling is to go with stihl machines will see how we get on.
  10. Access is key for me max pedestrian gate width 28" (2' 6") so that would narrow it down to pretty much Predator 28 or 38 both tracked and expandable tracks 26-39"! Any other tracked machines available that'll get through 28" gate?
  11. Whats the new price of a Jo Beau tracked stump grinders? Are they any good? Honest constructive answers would be good.
  12. Looking at battery Tophandle chainsaw, pole pruner, hedge cutter (24") and blower. Stihl would currently be my favoured make. Presumably the batteries are interchangeable with fast chargers. Anyone used any of the above? If so, good or bad points? Clearly battery life is an issue but with back up batteries on charge is it a real problem?
  13. So which is the best tracked stump grinder on the market for under £20k? Looked at Carlton, Bandit and Predator. Predator looks most compact for access with retractable tracks from 36-26" width but from previous posts not the best build quality & shake themselves apart or has this been resolved in newer machines? The StumpBuster guys appear to use mainly Carltons.
  14. Have you cleaned your pruning saws 😉
  15. Would you be kind enough to pm link to me please
  16. Definitely not sweet chestnut
  17. FR Jones do various grabs at good prices - look under forestry section
  18. Anyone know what this is?
  19. Is that the machine where you have to slide the log in and then move the whole table containing log across the blade, looks like hard going compared to hydraulic in/out feed, cut & split machines.
  20. I emailed and asked if I could view before parting with payment but no response.
