  1. But is it a genuine sale or yet another scam - all will be revealed I'm sure!
  2. The guy from the previous Ebay auction has contacted me saying machine didn't sell and was I interested in buying it.
  3. There's another Hakki 37 log processor on eBay in Sandown - bet its yet another scam.
  4. Yup, I bid on that too. Like you I've bid on several all scams. One guy got very a abusive. Best avoid Ebay me thinks
  5. Sadly my newly installed stove, which has only been used less than five times, has got a crack in the casing. I informed the supplier and to give them credit visited on the Friday morning and by 3.00pm their guys were back removing the stove and installed another brand new unit. Back in business and fingers crossed no more faults.
  6. That makes a lot of sense - thanks
  7. Right, I'm not an account holder so rules me out.
  8. Thanks for that I'll give them a shout.
  9. Anybody know a UK carrier that collects and delivers packages that are over 3m in length x 15 x 15cm?
  10. Beware of potential ebay scams - I've said it before but I'll say it again "don't part with your money until you've tried and tested the machine" Ignore adverts telling you to transfer funds, only do it if you're 100% confident the seller is genuine or you can say goodbye to your money.
  11. Looking forward to winter now so bring it on
  12. Thats basically it, get plenty of oxygen into it. Jotul are tough stoves. A Good learning curve.
  13. Yes you're spot on I've only had mine a couple of days I was concerned about getting the fire too hot and damaging the unit but now realise you need it hot enough to keep glass clear, now works a treat. I have also ordered a flue thermometer to help control high end heat - don't want a melt down. The radiating fan that sits on top is very good too.
  14. Yeah mines a fixed top with glass front door and quarter glass panels either side.
  15. Scratching not stretching - bloody predictive text is ships 😉
  16. Yes, bought and installed by long standing local dealer with excellent reputation but they didn't light the fire, they did explain how it works but that was months ago when they measured up only now I'm stretching my head but its a learning curve. I did buy a radiated fan that sits on top which works a treat.
  17. Thanks. Yes all logs dry stored in commercial glasshouse.
  18. Thanks for advice I was thinking a thermometer would be handy. Can you suggest a make and model or should I just buy one on line?
  19. Just had a Jotul 163 5kw log stove installed with glass panels in front door and sides. First time I lit i closed the air vent as instructed but the glass turned black. I've now opened the air vent enough to get a flame but worried it might be running too hot. There's a label in the air vent saying only open fully for five minutes whilst lighting the fire then close it. Instructions talk about the dangers of over heating. Currently burning oak split logs well seasoned. Any constructive advice would be useful.
  20. Same happening with log processors. Don't part with your money until you've seen the machine working.
