  1. Thanks for that, I'm away on a boat in the North sea at the moment, back in two weeks. I'll be in the woods after that and had a bit more and some photos after I've had more time to use the new chain. Cheers Rob

    Ripsaw???

Very true Mike, just worried about a big bill to get it through customs in the uk. Cheers Rob

    Ripsaw???

Yeah I though it would be shocking expensive due to the import duty. Just testing the water, with asking if anyone has already bought one in. Cheers

    Ripsaw???

I've seen and saw tuning company called Ripsaw advertise on facebook eta in the sates. Has anyone had any dealings with them? If so what was the import duties on the saw's or parts like? And what was the standard of work like? Cheers Rob
  6. Well gents I did place an order with Chainsaw bars for two Hexa chains, a 20" bar, drive sprocket and file for my MS441 which I've had since 2011, so well used to its performance. I've only had the chance to put two tanks of fuel through the saw with this new chain. Boy it cuts fast, really fast! I've only cross cut ash fire wood with it. Plunge cutting is very fast and controllable to. I'll write up more of my thoughts on this chain once I return home after a four week trip working offshore. I can only think that running on this on a 500i or an 880 would be fantastic. Cheers Rob
  7. would they have fitted a less aggressive cam as well?
  8. Ok that's fair enough, I'll do that and write something up, cheers Rob
  9. I'd like to try it out on my saws for testing! Cheers Rob
  10. Hi Elfie I stay in the Midmar area and have a TW125 thats band spanking and mini loader with duel wheels that I could hire out, but only with me there working them as grounds man or driver. If you want to talk about it send an email [email protected] I all so have all my own saw's eta and like a bit of graft, Cheers Rob
  11. Have you seen the Norcar range of mini loaders? They may fit the bill?
  12. Hi Paul, good to meet you at the show, see you next year mate! The Norcar crew will be at the APF later in the year, don't think I'll make it, back out on the high sea's working on the diving gear. The team line up left to right, Richard, a retired gent that worked at the tractor dealer next to the pub you camped at. Emma, head of admin and smooth running at Norcar HQ, Andy Cox the main man. Last in the line up is me, Rob. Back home now after five days away, burnt to a crisp but what a good time i had meeting all the new folk and none stop talking about the machines. Stopped in Stockport for my Nans 81st on the way home on Sunday, then went in past Clarks Forestry in Dumfries to get some Pfanner boots and saw strides. Never got a chance at the show. Yvonne Clark was sport on to deal with, she was at the Arb show to with Pfanner blue tooth head sets. I had a try in the shop, very cool kit. Cheers Mr Fox

Andy Cox the main man of Norcar UK will be there and can give you all the info you need. If we can help you Guss we will. Cheers Rob

  15. Hello to all my fellow Arb talkers! Hope to meet as many of you as posable at the show, I'll be working on the Norcar UK stand. Please come and say hello! Last year was my first time at the show, we were looking for a loader type machine and found the Norcar brand. Norcar is based only a few miles from the show ground. We liked the machines so much we asked for a demo at our home. So one machine was trailered up the road to Aberdeenshire! Needless to say it didn't return to Norcar HQ. So I'll be lending a hand at this years show to talk about what its been like to run it for a year, we will also try and do a few shows in Scotland this year, Echt show in Aberdeenshire will be one and an open try/drive day at our house the next. We are going to try and make it to the Turriff show to. Demo's can be carried out at the customers or our home. Any questions about the machines and what they can do, please ask away. All the best, Rob
  16. Mr Fox would you mind telling me were you got your new ear phones and how much? They look very smart mate, cheers Rob
  17. Hi Kevin, the reason for the front and rear duels:- To support the machine on very soft muddy ground, we have worked her on ground so muddy that her belly was almost touching the ground but she kept going, this was where we picked up the elm log you can see in my pic. Gardens:- So not make ruts and ripe up the grass, we are going on a job tomorrow to fetch out a big beech butt out of an Aberdeen garden, I will post pics before and after the job. Ruff ground:- The duels make crossing ruff ground much easier on the machine and driver. Remember this is a small machine and to allow it to get into tight spaces and be easily moved from place to place on trailers it has to be compact, the duels give us the best of both worlds. Weight:- The main wheels are water filled, we may fill the duels. This will keep the weight low down and save the cost and bulk of tractor weights. There are larger machines in the range, like the A75. Ours is an A62. If you or anyone less would like to ask something about the machine, please do so. Thanks for your interest, Rob
