  10. Morning all . I think I gonna stick with just tying off on one end and flying with my hitch climber and the ce lanyard. Also as you said Tim if I need a bit more support for position then use my 10 metre on a a prussic .
  11. He either is worse than me for buying gear or he so safety conscious that he shouldn't leave the ground
  12. Honestly thank you for all your views. Its listening to all your different ways is helping me with coming up with my own system.
  13. Yep that's it. I found it shortened my rope, and cluttered me up so much.
  14. Yes Tim you understood what I getting at . Hi Simon I sorry I wasn't very clear . No not to advance but to get myself in a decent work position. I use a hitch climber and use the ce lanyard in the single rope set up to help my positioning.
  15. We used both ends of the rope as our dead ends and and so in effect had 2 ropes to work off
  16. i just finished my 38 and 39 , and I wondered is it worth changing over to that system or is it more hassle than it's worth . Up til now if I wanted extra support then I would carry carry a small extra rope or use my ce lanyard.
  17. Thanks Jonny I dropped a size saw for this winter and gone for a 560 , then next winter I be looking seriously at the 461. I seen one working Thursday and yes they got lots of grunt and seems easy to work with
