  12. are you looking for a free site?
  13. Hello, I'm in dronfield so work in sheffield alot and £25 an hour is about average honestly i never price on an hourly rate usually what the job entails. To be honest up north to put it that way everyones at it and contracts are hard to find usually they either are found by someone knowing of you or searching for you on google. mail shots and leaflets have never worked for me and even cold calling into industrial units found that they will find you if they want you amongst the other 100 ground maintenance companies around here. If you can get the contracts easily take them just use them as beer money and to invest in equipment for the future. I'm currently looking to get into such things as vegtation management and mewp hedging simply because tom dick and harry wont invest or cant afford to. so basically buying into a niche market . Hope that helps happy to answer any questions.

  17. Hello, Anyone made any scaffolding for large head work that can deal with grass and rough terrain. Thinking about making something with peumatic tyres and outriggers . I know henchman make one but I believe I can make one for half the price they sell there's for Any help would be great thanks
  18. Hello, Looking to start acquiring parts to create a chip box for my l200 twin cab however i dont want to loose the truck for weeks so wanna buy the materials now. So obviously im looking for light as possible so am i better off building a box high sides with double opening rear door, rear door aluminium and sides plate steel. Or having aluminium shutter sides and aluminium rear doors will the be a vast weight saving for no doubt a bigger cost outlay?. I do a fair few hedge maintenance jobs so want to be able to carry brash to reason for high sides. Next question would a double acting ram be better as i want the chip box to be light so may not have the weight to push a single acting ram down? Lastly sorry for all the questions what am i best off building the best out of and frame work box size and wall thickness?
  19. I'm located in derbyshire and want a chip box and tipper making for my twin cab pick up any suggestions
  20. Brilliant thanks for that price see no ones been able to tell me rough price So based up on that £100 a visit to a nursing home wouldn't be bad there's about 20 car parking spaces and 300 yard drive. Next question is what if you clear and grit it and it keeps snowing? You can't be in more places than one? Daniel do you take any sort of retainer or is there a contract to the customer? And do you come when they call you? I'll give them a call im on back up lists for grit it and ice watch but they seem really disorganised and useless haha.
  21. Hello, I had a friend who is a fabricator make me up a plough for my 4x4 which works off my winch and since using ive decided to run it as a service i'm looking to buy a rear door mounted snow ex gritter. also a pedistrian gritter i do have a farm quad which i may also mount a plough to for large areas unreachable by 4x4. i have all the correct vehicle insurances and liability insurance to cover these services. So my question is how do i go about pricing up jobs? and whether to charge a retainer which i would be happier with? A local nursing home has already asked me to quote on a pre emptive service yet they weren't happy with the recent person they had do it all with a pedestrian kit he came 4 days on a trot in decemeber and january and charged them £600. which to be honest i think is high also i believe he over gritted.
  22. all these vibrating gritters making me jealous how do you make them pay even second hand there not cheap wish i could afford one.
