  2. the ovipositor is running parallel to its underside - the leg is a leg!
  3. its an Ichneumon you can see the ovipositor on the second image, difficult to ident to species from the images.
  4. Farage is a joke, always has been, never knows if he wants a shit or a haircut, vile little man. Looks suspiciously like he knew the thrower of milkshake and used it to gain publicity, but he won't lift a finger to help if she gets fined I bet!
  5. If its the RSPB tell them you are there to protect tweety birds from unscroupulus villianes who may be robbing stuff. (actually if you do approach them I wouldn't say your name is 'Eggs' - bad vibes dude!)
  6. Groundhog Day...

Interesting so you think Planners should let developers do whatever they want and just not get involved? Priceless.

    Homeless

I go into Liverpool city centre once a month, early doors to do some Local Radio, over 10 years ago when I started I would get one or two lads a hot drink in the Winter and very rarely a sandwich - I suppose it eased my conscious for a bit. Four years ago I stopped, too many people on the streets and not enough people working with them to provide solutions or shelter. My worst observation was watching the local dealers all teenagers off loading drugs to them during the Christmas period. Truly shocking state of affairs, and many boarded up buildings and poverty strapped Councils losing people who would have traditionally helped.
  11. she also shown a lot of ass...

  15. 98% of us couldn't give a monkeys chuff but still it bangs on and on...
  16. a continous upward trend could suggest other factors, tree roots expand and show seasonality changes, so should show a pattern that can be mapped across climate and weather data for the periods specified.
  17. Wow there are one or two of them! A couple of them are mating, keep an eye out for some looking like they have swollen yellow abdomens, usually lifting the wing cases, they are the gravid females who will produce next years mob!
  18. I've been monitoring the spread of these for some time and it is eveident that they are not host specific as I have found them on many different species of trees up here in Cheshire. In basic terms they defoliate and move on and are in quite alarming numbers once they have colonised, however I think the damage is mostly cosmetic and shouldn't be too alarming.
  19. I work for a LA and I would think long and hard about it, forever in a position of job cuts and no pay increase for years, Central Government cutting funding, Mon to Friday solid 8.00 to 4.00 and as for pensions and pay I will need to work until I'm 67 and will still be short on the Mortgage payments.
  20. Saw them on that tour and most of them after including the last five, superb!
  21. Blimey Tupac;s looking well...
  22. Can't work out if they are snaffle holes for feeding or latrine pits - any evidence of crapping? Brocks can be very persistant if they find a decent food source and they will eat tubers and rhizomes, but equally dig up golf courses for leatherjacket / beetle larvae When worming they wait for a decent rainfall then hoover them up like sphagetti!
  23. last time I saw Tull Andersons voice was terrible, watching him strain to hit the notes was painful and I'd watched them numerous times before like you, think it was Roots to Branches Tour?
  24. I do some freelance Ecology work and have been surveying bats for over 30 years doing strictly emergence and track back surveys. You need to find somebody local to you and volunteer our services to learn the ropes its not as easy as pointing a detector at things as the usual software is poor at identifying. Lots of work for subbying during the season normally. The addition of decent climbing skills would be useful in some situations. Lots of Info here - National Bat Monitoring Programme - Our Work - Bat Conservation Trust WWW.BATS.ORG.UK Bat numbers in the UK have declined dramatically over the last century. You can help to monitor the UK's bats by taking part in our surveys and observin...
  25. Meatloaf classic case of peaking too early, agreed! One of the first bands I ever saw was Quo but anything after 'Rockin all over the World' forget it, I hate what they became. I think a lot of this is down to age and not understanding or wanting to know whats good or bad, the tribalism of my youth when you were a Punk, Trog or somesuch happily died out and kids today like what they want rather than following a trend, probably healthier long term?
