  1. Hi Matt, when I spoke to them they said it really wanted to go on a 2.5ton but it would work with ours! It does bog down if you try and take off too much at once! We will use the auger more than the planer but I thought it would be stupid not to get it for the sake of a couple hundred quid! Can't say I have any complaints though!
  2. recently just bought the Auger torque stump planer and Auger for our Volvo EC15b and works a treat! Taking it out fencing next week

  6. I'd say your about right really! Sounds fair price I'd think!
  7. We are just about to do the same, but also putting an auger on it for our fencing contracts! Not sure where to go for the grab though
  8. Calling any self employed climbers in and around Bristol, Tree and Country Care Services are in need of someone to come and help out on our ever expanding work load. If anyone is interested in a couple of days a week, maybe more, at good rate of pay then please email me [email protected] Many thanks James
  9. Haha cheers lads for the heads up on utilities! We are going to get a 1.5ton machine so should run most stuff! Got a pretty big wish list of attachments I want for it too
  10. Our sites are generally new build, so they tend to be virgin soil that was once a field or someone's rear lawn! As more and more work comes in I am in need of speeding things up and if you think something like this is worth the investment then I probably won't need much persuading! What would you say is the best to buy? Plus we are doing 6ft feather edge so post only need to be 2ft down!
  11. That sounds like music to my ears! Did you buy or hire it? How many holes do you think you could do in a day with one?
  12. We are getting a lot of site fencing work coming our way at the moment, and we are also about to buy a mini digger for other work we are getting our way! What I want to know or find out is, does a anyone use a auger attachment on a mini digger for fencing and if so how affective are they and does the cost of one really make up the difference? Any input would be much appreciated James
  13. Sure it wasn't artificial grass as that needs compacting?
  14. No you don't need permission from anyone, you just need to work out if you need to divert the footpath and where and how to do it? You would need signs and barriers to do it!
