  1. How much is a quad track 160?
  2. And they set up again but didn't pay you?? I would have gone round and put one on him mate. Disgusting.
  3. I love my multi tip cutter, I just don't know why it matters about the lead cutter?
  4. I got a crew cab but still have to have the window open and a small steering wheel:)
  5. A lot of what I hear about this situation I cannot 100% say is true as I have not heard it direct. I have heard the contract says they can't sub out the work. I guess it's just one of those things. If I was offered a contract on another county I would think twice as with the amount of travel etc then how can I be competitive? Good luck to them. Just for the record I am nothing to do with any company's involved and I did not and would not tender for the contract I am purely am observer:)
  6. I buy kit off my local supplier as well as online. I buy stuff off my local fruit and veg shop and butcher as well as morrisons. The local tree firms had the contract for 20 years.
  7. Yes your right there, and same with k village, although they did use local subbies for a lot of jobs.
  8. Yes your right there, and same with k village, although they did use local subbies for a lot of jobs.
  9. I heard the local firm wasn't far off on price, I think that just shows how tight it is.
  10. I just thought of that mate, they maybe sub it to local firms, I best get my name down quick:)lol:)
  11. I know we all buy stuff off the Internet and thus taking money away from our local economy but I thought our council would favour a local firm as they can be there in a flash to look at jobs and do emergency work. What happens now when a tree falls over and blocks a road? They call up the firm in Cheshire or wherever and there gonna be 90 mins to respond?
  12. Ahh, yes I did, must be my fat fingers. Sorry mr b!!
  13. Local company's should be used, local jobs for local people. Like the government awarding that train contract to a foreign company, its morally wrong to put Brits out of work so a foreign company can profit. If the local tree firm has to lay off lads then that's more unemployed in my area and money going out of our economy.
  14. Don't know the name at the moment, I just got told today.
  15. I heard today that the town I live in has given its tree work contract to a company from 100 miles away! That's disgusting. They did have a local firm but its come up for tender and a company from down country has got it. I think it's disgusting, this country is in its knees and local councils do things like this! The government whoever is in power have no grasp of reality! Bunch of a holes.

  17. What does it matter what nick earns?? How is that any of anyone's business, if I want some cord and nick gives me a price and I'm happy than how is that a problem?? Maybe you just don't like seeing someone doing all right? Why come on here and talk rubbish about something you think you know about. Life's to short.
  18. Give one to silky for his x-fit pants:)
  19. Being a Dad will change your life! It's the best thing ever. Enjoy it. Congratulations!!
  20. Sell some to me I need more!!
  21. Nick Channer is your man, PM him and I'm sure he could sort you out.
  22. No snow here yet mate. I'm looking after my regular customers first.
  23. I don't honk you understood my comment, I meant I think there are a lot of employers out there that use self employed workers but really they should be employed so therefore its reasonable to comment. I have not implied that people are not paying tax although in se cases this may be true.
