  1. It's a 2007 with 1200hrs, very clean and well maintained by a reputable dealer. Got it well within my budget of 7k. Comes with set of new blades and I have enough left over to cover me if anything goes wrong. Again thanks for all they help guys :-)
  2. Had looked at Chippendale and had a chat, seem like good people. Great price on those Greenmechs but sadly the VAT takes them way over my budget. I have been out all day looking at chippers and finally settled on a TW150 really good condition and well maintained ( had a talk with the company who do the maintenance). I would have preferred a Greenmech but couldn't find a goodun in my budget. Thanks to all of you who have replied :-)

  4. I been advised that Greenmech are easier to maintain that Timberwolf which is of course an important point. Has anyone got any knowledge if maintenance on other makes?
  5. Bit out of my price range at the moment I think
  6. I'm looking for my first chipper I've viewed a couple so far, but before I make my final decision I thought I'd see if anyone has any advice or knows of any for sale. I'm doing mostly domestic but have some work on large properties and some farms. I must say I really like the look of the Schliesing 200mx but can't find one in my budget which is 7k. As I'm not VAT registered I'm trying to buy privately for cash. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. I'm located in East Anglia and as I'm a senior citizen I have no weight restrictions ps. got to get something this week!
  7. Seems to be going mad up that way, constantly seeing posts from farm watch in your area all the way across to Newcastle. Farm equipment, livestock, saws, quads etc. I recon there is an organized team doing it all seems to be 2 or 3 every night!
  8. Lots of racing engines including Cosworth use Mahle pistons, I built engines for ford's rally team years ago and they were fitted with Mahle. Top quality product!
  9. Got my new T540 last week and it came with a H37 chain, Husqvarna seem to do 2 suitable chains the H36 & H37. The information on both is pretty unclear as is which roller guide suits which chain. Anybody out there able to cast light on my problem.
  10. I'm still scratching my head, but I agree these trousers feel great!
  11. Okay silly question time :-) I've just bought a pair of SIP Progress strides and on the top right hand side at the back is what I can only describe as flap thats a bit like a triangle shaped loop. Anybody know what it's for?
  12. I've been with T-Mobile for years and had a succession of Samsungs. Currently a Galaxy Note. T-Mobile have got really sneaky in the last few years and kept lowering the fair use limit on the mobile internet, which by the way has got slower and less reliable. The Samsungs have always been great and would be my first choice. Incidentally the landline broadband where I live is crap so I got one of those Huawei WFI mobile broadband hubs on 3 and I'm getting 11mbs downstream and 3 to 4mbs upstream. Might try that network when my contract runs out.

  17. Just put mine through it's second full week of work, now it's run in a bit I just love this saw. It is still on the 15inch bar it came with and it's really zippy. I have cut ash, sycamore, oak, pine and spruce amongst others. A perfect compliment to my 372.... 395 next mmmm!
  18. I've been looking at the Oregon 21LPX072E chisel .325 .058

  20. Sugihara saw porn or wot! have to sell granny to get one I suppose
  21. Got my new 550xp today! great deal from F R Jones and Son. I was so excited I forgot to order a sharpening kit. I've got no saws using .325 so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it It's on a 15" bar but I'll most probably get an 18"to fill the gap to my 372xp on 20" and 28". Have any of you used a 550 on a 20"bar at all?
  22. Link was freely available via Google. sorry if I have breached the rules but as I had no difficulty accessing the document via Google, I was unaware there was a problem.
  23. I was at BTS in Needham Market yesterday and was talking to Trevor their engineer, and having trouble with my Huskies sizing asked him for his opinion. He said the same as you, that you should only run the XP saws on husky xp oil and he also recommends running a stronger oil to petrol mix perhaps 30:1 or 40:1
  24. YR 63 YBT silver Ford Focus A silver Ford Focus (driver with an Irish accent) was touting gravel at a village property in Hundon on Tuesday and a trailer was stolen from the yard the following evening. A silver Ford Focus YR 63 YBT was touting gravel in Depden on Thursday morning. If seen, please report to 101 (control room) immediately, giving location and direction of travel and, if possible, quoting crime no. HH/14/60. We are doubtless in for a spate of these reconnaissance calls and the inevitable plant thefts a few days later.
