  1. If you're selling coal you should be an Approved Coal Merchant before being able to buy any for resale. Also keep an eye on VAT. iF YOU BUY MORE THAN 1 TONNE YOU WILL PAY 20% VAT. But at the point of sale to domestic users you should only be charging 5%. As with logs it is very seasonal and when the temperature rises the sales fall. Most merchants buy in bulk with an average delivery of 20 tonnes which brings the price per tonne down a few pounds. As mentioned any coal you sell will probably mean they buy less logs.
  2. The worst sentence a wife ever says is either "I've been thinking " or "Ive had an idea".
  3. I thought the highlights were crap. How can you fit it all into less than an hour. Pre race , race 1 gp2 and 3 and three sets of adverts and dismal commentary. Good to see Rossi back in the battle though. Crutchlow for top 5 at end of season (or Bradley Smith ??)
  4. Had a whitebeam blow down on my land two years ago ( had to look it up to see what it was )I cut it up for firewood and stored in the barn. Tried to cut some for kindling later and the axe just bounced off it. Pushed the stump back up with a mini digger and the shoots are now a good 10' tall.
  5. I only need logs for my own use and so far have used a maul for chopping to size. I'm thinking of getting a Clarke 5 tonne log splitter have any of you used one and what do you think of them?
  6. If you're near Ammanford G. Morgan +Son are good and reasonable with chainsaw repairs.
  7. Some sit-ons also have a safety cut out under the seat. If there's no weight on the seat the engine won't run.
  8. Borrowed my sisters' renault 5 a few years ago and she told me don't worry about the noise "It's the driveshaft". A few miles down the road my front wheel overtakes me and narrowly missed knocking a little kid off his bike.
