I'd have thought 20kva would have had enough poke to run everything, it's usually better to run them hard than on tick over. If it was me I'd just not have a shower and use the immersion instead and a smaller generator. Make sure you install a changeover switch to prevent sending power out to the grid

You'll probably want a 1500 rpm diesel if you're running it for any length of time. The immersion heater is that a 3kw in a hot water tank or an actual electric shower ?. If it's an immersion, you'll run your whole house on 10-11KVA circa 10kw.

In the north west it's call 105. They're usually pretty helpful and get some out within a couple of hours to inspect.

Ring the local DNO, they have in the last 12-18 months increased the clearance from 1.5 to 3m. This is work they do at no cost to the customer.

I'm not knocking any particular brand, I've a horrible direct drive Sip one and an 1950s vintage Ingersoll belt drive. It's slow but the belt drive wins every time, other than a new hose it's like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way.

24 litre is relatively small but usable for tyres. It'll be bloody noisy tho, as doobin says a belt drive version are quieter. Belt drive are about talking level, direct drive from experience are ear piercing. Could just be a Friday special but, pay more for maybe a SIP or similar.

Think they all kinda come out of the same factory regardless of colour, you've also got rock machinery and a few others. Never used a petrol one but if it's long, start high and reduce it over a few runs, tiny bites and all that. Plus you'll even up with a really find mulch that rots quickly, even with a 2m flail running on the tractor it's best to go slow and steady. Or get someone grazing it down and flail off the remains.

Plenty of information on the country court, but guess it's in the 5% fee range. You've lost nothing for trying, but you might get payment once the first court letter from arrives on their desk. Just follow the process to the letter and they might default in your favour providing you do everything right. -

Short answer yes, as the debt is against the company and not a specific person. How much are we talking?, Small claims court is the cheapest option after a snotty letter. -
It's been a while since I've done it, but if you sand a longer taper over say 1" you can slowly work you way upto the full diameter. It's going to be a pain regardless, I'd just find a local machine shop and they'll do it for a tenner if you're nice and pay cash.

Best to wait until it's piled up and tidy. Plus it all depends on how they have to cut it up to move, the thicker the trunk the smaller the rings Vs weight etc

Just don't spend stuff on things you're rarely ever going to use, farming makes the BOAT acronym look tame. As once you've got the toys you'll then need a shed and the ball keeps rolling, I'm not saying don't, just use common sense and only buy what you can afford outright. Your first loss is the largest mentality, in my mind I own outright everything and if it failed I can afford to repair or replace it without going into debt.

20-25k would be a fair estimate for anything with modern creature comforts like a cab and windows, yes I've done freezing in old school tractors, but as I've said treat it as slowly slowly and work your way up. I own 22 but farm around 45, slowly returning it back to livestock grazing but fencing isn't cheap either. Granted if it's just topping a old mf165 and topper wouldn't be hard to find

So you're now going to have a semantic arguement about your levels of bitching about skylands and whether or not it crosses the line of slander?. We've all offered simple solutions to which you've kept on quoting consumer rights, if you were my customer I'd have refused and refunded. All whilst you're using varying font sizes, which in internet speak is normal talking, to slightly larger shouting to cut and paste yelling like a crazy person?.
