  1. Hi Rich, let us know when the wedding is and we can arrange a call out to make it an even more memorable day for you and your guests I could fall out of my sea kayak... I think you RNLI guys (and gals) are fantastic and very brave, I have been an RNLI Offshore member for many years (not needed help yet !)
  2. I have a milemarker driven from a separate hydraulic pump (where the air con pump would be) it has been reliable, I can use it all day. The downside is that it is slow when it is in low ratio and low ratio is needed to pull anything heavy. It holds 20m of steel cable as standard and I use a separate 20m extension if I need more (this doesn't,t fit on the winding drum)
  3. cpc.co.uk are doing a 110 bar Nilfisk for around 65 pounds http://cpc.farnell.com/nilfisk-alto/c110-4-5-pc-x-tra/pressure-washer-patio-cleaner/dp/SI16061 They also have more powerful models and their prices seem good. I have bought from them in the past and have had excellent service (they do some nice 10W LED security lights which I have installed around my garage).
  4. I had an oil seal go on a hydraulic log splitter, the manufacturer (Metabo) was of very little help. In the end, I contacted L&S Engineers with a photo + dimensions of the failed seal and they posted me some replacements which are now installed and working fine. I have always had very good service from L&S, highly recommended.
  5. Sounds like a good mix of upper + lower body exercise, good luck with that and the Wii boxing sounds good since you can do it in all weathers
  6. Cardiio this tells you your heart rate by looking at you TODO by Appigo is handy for keeping track of all of those things you need to do, don't get too carried away though .I find the checklist task type handy for checklists that I use repeatedly
  7. Jumbled so that they dry more quickly, these are for my own use rather than for sale, so I am not worried about how many logs I fit in a barrow bag.
  8. Hi Jules, this is my 2nd post and 1st attempt at a photo upload on an iPad mini, so I hope it works. I made up the loading frame in the photo and it has saved a lot of time. The stretchy straps do a good job at keeping a good tension on the bag and the orange roof rack straps allow the frame to be adjusted in height. It collapses down for when transporting it. I will probably make something similar for the bigger vented bags. I added metal L brackets for the insides of the wooden frame to help strengthen it, since it was a bit weak without those but nice and solid now. When you finish loading, just undo the stretchy straps and lift the frame away ready for the next bag
  9. I am trying to lose a bit of weight and I like water sports, so a 20 mile sea kayak paddle on Saturday and a 2.5k swim tonight, fingers crossed that if I keep it up, I will lose a few kilos and no more chocolate + cheese should help as well !
  10. Hello Laurence, This is my first post so fingers crossed that this works ! I have been learning a lot and enjoying the humour on arbtalk for a couple of months, so it is now time to join. I heat my house with a wood burning stove and so I would be interested in any hardwood logs that you could drop off. I don’t mind a bit of softwood in the mix and I don’t mind what size the logs are. I live a few miles from Bracknell and I could take a couple of transit loads which can be just tipped on the drive. I will not be able to take any of your woodchip. Bracknell Forest Council have a trade waste facility at Longshot Lane Bracknell RG12 1RL, further details are here Commercial waste - disposal sites: Recycling, rubbish and waste - Bracknell Forest Council (not very cheap but perhaps cheaper than a run back to Kent ?) Hopefully you can find somebody in the area to take the woodchip. I have sent you an email with my contact details so please reply to the email if you are interested. I can be at home just about anytime day or evening to take delivery and to hand over the beers Thanks
