  1. On the crane truck where i work, we use firehoses from firetrucks to lead the fumes out of the buildings when we are lifting machines inside, maybe a small dia firehose could be used? It would just drag behind the saw, should be fine.
  2. I use ZMA (ZMA (supplement) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Started using it because i had trouble sleeping, and sleeping is extremely important when powerlifting/bodybuilding like myself. it helps many people get a better sleep, get funky dreams tho but its alright.
  3. Damn, everytime you buy something it wont be long before you find something new to spend on. This thingy thing looks like its going to be just as hyped as a certain other item that it reminds me of(ZZ), concept is the same but two different ways of building it - And obviously this was made specifically for srt.
  4. Ive Got the Stein Skyline 2.2. I quite fancy it, it replaced my zing-it line. I think its atleast as good as my zing-it. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Thought that was how you remembered to tie the bowline?
  6. Hi Steve, Awesome apps!. they work great and are easy to use. just a add-on to my last post about a Tree Ident. App. Like i said, once you've identified a tree, it would be good if it was somehow connected with the fungi app. But also, about pruning the tree, once identified, i reckon it would be nice with some information about pruning the specific species, like what time of year is best, how well does the tree respond to pruning etc. Thanks for these great apps.
  7. Note to that, that it would be cool with a tree identification app, it would be cool if it would bind together with the fungi app in such a way, that when you do identify the tree, it also shows the most common fungi for the species, along with other usefull information about the tree. For the less experienced users perhaps some information about pruning, crown reduction etc. for the specific species - if non arborists stumble upon this app and read about their trees in their gardens, perhaps they are less likely to hire a gorilla to come top their trees half to death... Just my 2 cents.
  8. The only way anything is slipping out of that thing once its closed is if the grab itself breaks its arms or cylinders, unless your only holding on with the tips of the arms nothings comming outta that. If you blow a hose the grab will stay locked aswell.
  9. Never said it was fast, its quite slow, and i can proberly do it faster than the crane, they invested in it tho and it has payed for itself so. There was a competitor who bought one for their crane which had a flyjib on it, the flyjib having a smaller boom, on the first job they did he picked too large a branch and the whole boom on the jib twisted to uselessness. whoops.
  10. something along the lines of this? This is a video of a company i drive for, i do all the extra felling for them that the crane cant do.
  11. Mainly i spend the most time training my powerlifting, so i can get back on the international team. Besides this, rec. tree climbing and working with fixing things around the house, building or renewing stuff around the house and working out in my shop, either on the car, the saws or whatever. Hard to believe i have time for the wife, but she participates in alot of this aswell so when im off work were pretty much together all the time.
  12. are you comparing it to the number of times the SJ gets its cam replaced, or how long the body of SJ lasts?. If its to the cam, you've got to consider that when using the SJ properly, the friction is between the wooden block and the cam, and not on the SJ body. This gives two friction points only to carry the whole weight. The body of the SJ wears diffrently depending on wether you use the device the way it was intended or have a nasty habit of not using the wooden block all the time. Just what i think anyways.
