    You have to have at least a DSC1 to go after deer anyway. It's illegal not to unless with a qualified guide. Had ago with a package rifle for savage arms. Good bit of kit.

    A 'gun' is a gun. No matter what it's size, shape, calibre. If it shoots ammunition that is loaded into the chamber and fired by a firing pin. It is a gun.

    As long as you can justify the calibre of rifle(s) you are asking license for. Then the firearms officer will usually understand. Especially if you say your only going to do paid stalking.
