Worth sharpening chipper blades 'as a job'?

the company that does ours charges £1 per inch on the width of the blades which are 4 inches wide and they lift them and return them the next week -
There are not many slivers and any there is are not that big or that thick. Most boilers have cutters on the augers anyway that will deal with any small slivers

Hi we have a Kesla 6450 and it produces good chips for biomass.We chip for quite a few customers with different makes of boilers who have had no problems but most are G50. The chipper has been very reliable and well built

how many people buy non original blades and do they last any better or worse than the originals

The easiest and cheapest would be to buy in windblown timber which might cost£30~£40 delivered then get a chipper in if you need 80ton then that should be about a days work for a decent sized chipper

we have a swb Shogun and Navara both automatic both tow well but big advantage is when you reverse with trailers on .The last Navara was a manual and was on its 3rd clutch but they were high geared in reverse
