  1. hate .325 chains
  2. i prefer the stihls when cutting hardwoods
  3. run a stihl 036( same saw but older) runs a 20" ok but a lot better on an 18" thats what its running at current

  10. will try but mostly flail cut my way. willing to travel and watch you guys work your magic and lend a hand can still supply bacon butties.
  11. if passing traffic has under 3 metres to pass you will probably need traffic management
  12. if doing from road dont forget you might need traffic control!

  14. not the same but hired a 26m cherry picker with operator did a 65-70ft tripple stem maple with 3 phone lines running through and a street lamp below, two fences. had it all on the floor by 12.30 that includes stopping at 10.00am for tea and a bikky!
  15. not a bad machine used one years ago 9" when i was an employee.
  16. made mine out of box steel, welded a 8x3 frame and riveted 8x3 sheet of galvanised steel to it. painted frame in black hammerite. still look good 3yrs on.
  17. would really like to learn some of the skills in hedge laying, but cant spend money on course at moment did a taster day out near blanford but teacher wasnt up to much?
  18. look on e-bay thats always worth a look or try your local fabrication/welder. if your any good at welding make your own and save a few quid.

  25. yeah yeah, i type like a idiot i know, i meant to tow behind transit for chipping waste from my climbing jobs, but if you do have a chipper that climbs whats it day rate?
