I did some more research on the web based on your link and I guess those ones are tube-tailed thrips. The red one is the larva, the black one is the adult.

I won't. Yup. A lot of white rot. Surely the tree isn't going through his best days but it's an old small one and even if it falls , it will cause no damage to anything nor anyone. Plus it still gives delicious plums every year so...nature will think about it. A couple of pics of the rot.

Thank you very much David! I guess you 're right, as usual. :-) What would you do? The tree is quite old and in decline. It has been pruned too hard a few years ago and now is slowly dying. I think I'm gonna leave them. Do you think they will move to another tree once this one is gone? There are a lot of fruit trees in that yard. I don't know if they can affect a young and healthy tree.

Hi. It's a couple of years I'm taking care of this Prunus domestica. It's an old little tree with a lot of Phellinus on it. Late in the winter a lot of these little larvae come out from the cracks and wounds in the wood and they seem to chill out on the fungus. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks

I agree. Whether you're gonna tye them down or not, reduce it in the summer. Less sprouts will come out next year and you'll have less trouble. Most important: be patient.

Thanks. I got a contract with a tree care company in Edmonton for the summer. They told me trees are smaller there than in other areas. We'll see.

Good to hear. I'll be moving there at the end of the month. Not in BC but not even that far. Alberta. Don't know if things are different there. Can't wait. Nature must be awesome over there. Cool video as usual, by the way.

I climb with a pantin and like I was saying before they work just great. Then they're 100% made in Italy so....I like an original local serious product. I use their climbing trousers too and they're very good. Hope someone from them read this so they'll give me a free pair next time...:lol:

Very comfy and they'll last long. I use them with spurs too and never had a problem.

Nice video as usual. What I appreciate most, apart from your obvious skill, is that (correct me if I'm wrong ) you're never showing off ( even if you 'd have all the reasons to...). Usually humility, together with confidence, is what marks out a real master.
