Hmmmm I bought a pair of Stein Explorer 3's late December last year, they have only had light use for 7 months and one of the metal eyelets popped off this morning... Very annoying as my old "cheap" boots before these (No Risk) lasted me 2 years. I must say they are very comfy though but if you only get half a year out of them

I have one of those retracter jobbies on my arb whistle connected to my belt loop, great idea for a small wedge. At the moment my chogging wedge is on some paracord connected to an old Silky belt clip, i just un-connect my Silky and connect the wedge. If im chogging a stump on the ground then its the old twig trick

I use Aspen in my trimmers purely a health thing because of the emissions from regular fuel. Also after a few hours of trimming i dont stink to high hell of exhaust fumes. Before i used Aspen we used to use the Halfords bike masks, but they where too hot in the winter. Yeah... its 19 quid a bottle but like i say, its just for the trimmers, regular unleaded & Sthil 2 stroke for the saws

I used ply sheets for my wagon and painted it with a couple of tins of black gloss for wood & metal from b&q, total cost was about £200.

Ive done a couple of these over the years... The climbers ropes where gunked up to hell and the brash is heavy, Sticky and bloody spiky. Still, its all good fun at the end of the day.

Damn right.. gave my ex boss a quote of over 3 grand In the end we gave a local welder the plans and he did it all inc ladder racks and side tool box for £1000

Cordless Dremel on the 440, freehand on the 200's usually on a stump vise or knelt down between the legs
