  1. We have been using stihl high performance work gloves bout £15 a pair but not much gets through them
  2. Bright but cloudy with strong winds here (near Retford Notts) hedge cutting today so i don't mind the wind.
  3. Tend to use gallup amenity (glyphosate) from landmark trading
  4. Hello my name is Joe this is my first thread (awesome site!) I was wondering if anyone could help me. I need a thousand nets worth of wood so about 150 tonnes softwood or hardwood preferably seasoned can organise a lorry myself as near to Retford area as possible so if anyone could help would be massively appreciated
  5. I like to practice every three months or so. Tho I think I need to practice ground rescues as one of my groundsmen managed to lower a large lump of wood on top of him self trapping him. Luckily the only thing hurt was his pride.
  6. Give the job to an arborist and charge them a finders fee
  7. The chasis length behind the cab is bigger on a hilux but like furguson forestry said you can fit what ever size body you want. Let's be honest tho you would be mug to buy a hilux over a landrover
  8. When I first started I bought my saw from my dads cousin who was retiring and who I had worked for for two years and the oldest one was stihl 025 1998 which he had since new and used every day and serviced himself every year and it's still running sweet now think he had a new set of rings fitted in 2005. The point is if you service or have a saw serviced yearly (or more often) it should last a long time.
