They undertake a wide range of work for local authorities (they hold several long term contracts for councils), commercial, (including some utility contracts) and domestic. They hold a large number of accreditations and have a reputation for high quality work and a professional service delivery. They are currently looking to employ a PTI qualified surveyor to assist with their contract with Birmingham City Council. The work would involve programmed VTA inspections of local authority trees. The work will be primarily within the West Midlands area and the pay will be on a per tree basis on a full or part time basis so would suit a self employed worker.   2. Our client is a large Arb Approved Contractor based in south west London. They run two to three tree teams undertaking arboricultural works for their established client base of housing associations, residential and commercial clients. They are currently looking to recruit a second climber/groundsman to work as part of the two or three man tree team. This role would involve assisting the climber, processing wood/brash and keeping the work site safe and tidy. There will also be basic climbing and pruning works to undertake.   4. Our client is a north London borough who are looking to engage a temporary Tree Officer for circa 4 months with the opportunity of a permanent contract for the right candidate. This role will cover all aspects of administration including pro active tree inspections,tree work applications/appeals and Tree Preservation Orders and responding to enquiries from stakeholders regarding the above. The Ezytreev system is used.   5. Our client is a local authority in Bedfordshire. They have a busy tree section and are looking to employ another full time Tree Officer. The Tree Officer role is responsible for managing the council tree stock, this will involve taking tree related enquiries from the public, inspecting trees in line with council policy and where appropriate specifying remedial works and carrying out Tree Inspections. They use the Treewise system. Candidates ideally should have prior technical experience either as a Tree Officer or Tree Inspector and hold a level three or four qualification in arboriculture or closely related subject. However, candidates who have experience within Arboriculture, with a Level 3/4 qualification in Arb and who are looking for their first technical role will also be considered. They undertake all their the tree maintenance work 'in house' with directly employed staff. They operate several teams of arborists and are currently looking to recruit: Grounds Operative Working as part of a three man gang you will assist the climbers in undertaking tree work operations to all council owned trees. You will manage the work site at ground level ensuring it is safe and efficient. Candidates must be qualified to CS30 and CS31 as a minimum and ideally have CS38. A driving licence is essential and the ability to tow desirable. Other desirable qualifications are chipper and first aid. Pay rate: £9.29 hour basic (36 hours). Over time at enhanced rates. They have a busy tree section covering the management of the council's tree stock and providing advise to their planning section on works to protected trees (CAs and TPOs) and responding to development surveys. They currently require an Arboricultural Officer for an indefinite period due to the work load..
