Job Title: Tree Surveyor Location: Birmingham Salary: Competitive The main purpose of the role will be to undertake tree condition surveys and detailed tree inspections, and to provide reports and technical support to colleagues, customers and clients as required mainly in the Birmingham area. idverde are currently looking to recruit a Qualified Tree Surveyor to undertake ad-hoc and programmed inspections of the trees, entering data onto a computerised system and where necessary specifying remedial works. Role Responsibilities Undertake asset inspections where specific tree knowledge is required To ensure that tree inspection and surveys are accurate and provided all information required. Provide accurate reports and responses to tree related queries. Provide a professional service to customers Meet agreed targets and performance standards. Undertake Audits of works to ensure quality and safety Maintain an up to date knowledge of tree pest and disease developments, national standards relating to trees and developments in Arboriculture. Skills & Qualifications Minimum of QCF level 3 Arboricultural qualification Lantra Professional Tree Inspection desirable and relevant industry experience. IT literate, MS Office programmes, GIS and Asset management/Survey software Experience of using mobile computing devices Use of Visual Tree Assessment techniques. Demonstrable previous relevant industry experience is desirable.   5. Our client is an established contractor based in the West Midlands. They undertake a wide range of work for local authorities (they hold several long term contracts for councils), commercial, (including some utility contracts) and domestic. They hold a large number of accreditations and have a reputation for high quality work and a professional service delivery. They are currently looking to employ a PTI qualified surveyor to assist with their contract with Birmingham City Council. The work would involve programmed VTA inspections of local authority trees. The work will be primarily within the West Midlands area and the pay will be on a per tree basis on a full or part time basis so would suit a self employed worker. It is expected to run for circa 8 months. Candidates must be qualified to level three in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience in surveying or similar. A LANTRA PTI qualification is essential. Times and days of work are flexible and the work is available on a part time or full time basis and will be based on number of trees surveyed at circa £1.30 per tree with the expectation of 100 trees per day to be surveyed.   7. Can anyone recommend a good LOLER inspector to me please? I'm on the south side of Birmingham. I've always had a very good guy to do it for me in the past but he moved away from the local area last year unfortunately. Thanks Simon
  8. Hi, Just had my first wood burning stove put in, should hopefully be finished off tonight, can anyone point me in the right direction for firewood, ideally seasoned but also some that I can start my own supply. Thanks in advance
