  1. Evening. I am a Midlands based Arboricultural Consultant & Surveyor available for sub contracted technical work for the next 3 months be it full or part time. I am mobile and available immediately countrywide if enough work is there.15 years of experience in BS5837:2012 development site surveying and reporting as with large scale VTA surveying and reports on both the private and LPA sides. Job Title: Tree Surveyor Location: Birmingham Salary: Competitive The main purpose of the role will be to undertake tree condition surveys and detailed tree inspections, and to provide reports and technical support to colleagues, customers and clients as required mainly in the Birmingham area. idverde are currently looking to recruit a Qualified Tree Surveyor to undertake ad-hoc and programmed inspections of the trees, entering data onto a computerised system and where necessary specifying remedial works. Role Responsibilities Undertake asset inspections where specific tree knowledge is required To ensure that tree inspection and surveys are accurate and provided all information required. Provide accurate reports and responses to tree related queries. Provide a professional service to customers Meet agreed targets and performance standards. Undertake Audits of works to ensure quality and safety Maintain an up to date knowledge of tree pest and disease developments, national standards relating to trees and developments in Arboriculture. Skills & Qualifications Minimum of QCF level 3 Arboricultural qualification Lantra Professional Tree Inspection desirable and relevant industry experience. IT literate, MS Office programmes, GIS and Asset management/Survey software Experience of using mobile computing devices Use of Visual Tree Assessment techniques. Demonstrable previous relevant industry experience is desirable.   4. Our client is an established contractor based in the West Midlands. They undertake a wide range of work for local authorities (they hold several long term contracts for councils), commercial, (including some utility contracts) and domestic. They hold a large number of accreditations and have a reputation for high quality work and a professional service delivery. They are currently looking to employ a PTI qualified surveyor to assist with their contract with Birmingham City Council. The work would involve programmed VTA inspections of local authority trees. The work will be primarily within the West Midlands area and the pay will be on a per tree basis on a full or part time basis so would suit a self employed worker. It is expected to run for circa 8 months. Candidates must be qualified to level three in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience in surveying or similar. A LANTRA PTI qualification is essential. Times and days of work are flexible and the work is available on a part time or full time basis and will be based on number of trees surveyed at circa £1.30 per tree with the expectation of 100 trees per day to be surveyed.   6. Opportunity to work for a large east midlands local authority's tree section. Employing several Tree Officers and Inspectors our client not only manages their own authority trees, but also those of several neighbouring councils. They also have a direct work force of arborists who maintain the council's trees. They currently have funding for an additional Trees and Woodlands Officer for 6 months on a 3 day per week basis. This position reports to the Trees and Woodlands Manager and is responsible for both the management of the council's tree stock and the provision of technical advice to other council departments - for example planning in connection with protected trees. Candidates will need to be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience. LANTRA professional tree inspection would be an advantage. A full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes is essential (mileage paid). Rate of pay circa £13.50 PAYE or £16.75PH contract, plus mileage. We are currently expanding our client base and are looking to gather together a small list of qualified and reliable self employed tree surveyors for on site data collection throughout Greater London, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent and surrounding counties in the South and South East. The majority of work will be data collection conforming to BS5837:2012 on proposed development sites and also on larger scale tree health and safety survey sites. Relevant Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture and Professional Tree Inspectors certificate required as a minimum. Previous experience and Driving licence essential.
