They have a busy tree section covering the management of the council's tree stock and providing advise to their planning section on works to protected trees (CAs and TPOs) and responding to development surveys. They currently require an Arboricultural Officer initially for 12 weeks with a view to extend until December 2017. They have a very long term relationship with one of the UKs largest contractors and operate from their yard facilities. As well as local authority contracts in north London and Herts they undertake local domestic and commercial jobs. They have been asked by the main contractor to undertake more work and consequently they are looking to employ qualified arborists to increase their resource.   6. Our client is an established contractor based in west Germany. Employing three teams of arborists they mainly undertake domestic work in the affluent cities of Bonn and Cologne. The company is owned by an English man who has lived in Germany for 30 years. He also has two English speaking sons who work in the business. One of their staff has recently left and so they are looking to employ an arborist to replace him. Candidates must be fully competent arborists and be able to undertake any climbing work that is required. The client is looking for climbers with several years experience and NPTCs for aerial use of the saw. In addition to the climbing the arborist should be able to drive the work vehicle and deal politely and professionally with customers. Their clients consist primarily of large commercial organisations and government agencies for whom they provide a range of technical services from arboricultural consultancy (including tree protection and root survey) to japanese knotweed survey and control. They are now looking for an additional Surveyor to join their team. The key objective of the role is to undertake tree surveying and arboricultural consultancy advice. In addition to TreeRadar and BS5837 work. There will be a requirement to travel to our client’s sites throughout the UK and there will be a need to be flexible staying away from home for short periods and/or working longer days.   23. Our client is a busy local authority in the south east encompassing five towns to make up the largest urban area outside of London. As such the arboricultural section is a very active place to work. The tree section at the council currently requires 1 temporary Tree Inspector to provide extra cover until the end of March . Based out of Gillingham, the role will involve managing the council owned tree stock, in particular undertaking ad-hoc inspections of trees that are the source of a back log of customer enquiries. The Tree Officer will inspect the trees in accordance with the council's tree policy and where remedial work is required, issue instruction orders to the term contractor. They will also monitor work undertaken. Candidates will be expected to be qualified to ND arboriculture as a minimum and ideally have some post qualification experience.
