  1. Small arboricultural contractor based in scenic area of Gloucestershire near Cheltenham requires an NPTC qualified, second climber to supplement existing 2 man team. The company undertakes work in both rural areas of the Cotswolds and also in Cheltenham for mainly domestic customers. They have been established for some years and have a large number of repeat customers ensuring they always have a full order book. Second climbers: must have NPTCs upto and including CS39 (use of chainsaw from rope and harness). Previous experience not required so a college leaver will be considered, Training will be provided to bring candidates upto speed on pruning and basic dismantling works.   2. Our client is a successful family run business that was formed in 1994. A mix of work is undertaken for mainly construction and domestic clients. They currently employ 10 staff and are well equipped with vehicles, chippers and other plant.   3. Our client is the Direct Services Organisation of a large metropolitan council based in the north west. Their arboricultural section is well equipped and organised and currently empoys a large number of arborists. As well as undertaking all the tree work with in their own council area, the DSO is contracted to maintain a neighbouring authority's trees and this is where the staff cover is required (Salford). The roles are primarily concerned with delivering arboricultural skills training to college students; involving demonstration, supervision and instruction. They are looking to employ two Tree Inspectors for circa 12 month contracts to 'undertake the rolling tree survey of trees under the control of the Authority, assist with the organisation of maintenance regimes and instruct works in the most cost effective manner'. Based in the forestry department the positions will also involve the inspection of woodland trees and provision of advice to other council departments and agencies. Suitable candidates will hold a level three qualification in arboriculture and have 12 months post qualification experience; ideally within a technical role. A driving licence is essential.   12. Our client is an established contractor based in west Germany. Employing three teams of arborists they mainly undertake domestic work in the affluent cities of Bonn and Cologne. The company is owned by an English man who has lived in Germany for 30 years. He also has two English speaking sons who work in the business. One of their staff has recently left and so they are looking to employ another Lead Climber to replace him. Candidates must be fully competent arborists able to run a team of three staff and undertake any climbing work that is required. The client is looking for climbers with five years experience and NPTCs for aerial use of the saw. In addition to the climbing the Team Leader should be able to drive the work vehicle and deal politely and professionally with customers. As well as local authority contracts they undertake some commercial and domestic work. They are currently looking to employ more than 1 climber. They are looking to employ 1 or 2 UA5 Qualified Utility Surveyors for 3-6 months work starting January 2016. Location: covering a single power line running from Exeter, Bristol, Reading, West London, South Coast, The work will involve surveying and consenting tree cutting works adjacent to the 132kV network across the SSE Power Distribution Network area. Candidates would walk the lines and record their findings on hand held pcs with bespoke software and GPS. The project will be the responsibility of a Senior Consultant who will provide appropriate training and day to day management/supervision. Candidates will be required to have NPTC units UA1 and UA5 and a valid first aid certificate. They are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Tree Inspector to undertake ad-hoc and programmed inspections of the trees, entering data onto a computerized system and where necessary specifying remedial work. Suitable candidates will hold an arboricultural qualification to level 3 in arboriculture, preferably have experience in tree surveying and hold a full UK driving licence.
