They are looking to employ two Tree Inspectors for circa 12 month contracts to 'undertake the rolling tree survey of trees under the control of the Authority, assist with the organisation of maintenance regimes and instruct works in the most cost effective manner'.   5. Our client is a medium sized arboricultural contractor based on the outskirts of West London. They have been trading since 2001 and have an established client base consisting of commercial and domestic clients, including several large social landlords as well as prestigious central London estates/squares. Operating with two teams of three staff they are looking to expand to a third team and consequently require: 1. Lead Climber: This is a varied position and involves all aspects of tree work from cyclical pruning to large individual take downs and sectional felling.Work is well priced with negotiated contracts with an emphasis on quality as well as value - than high volume street tree pruning! Equipped with smart purpose built vehicle and new plant and machinery you will be responsible for a two or three man team. Candidates must qualified to NPTC CS39, have two years climbing experience and hold a current UK driving licence. The basic pay is £12PH for a forty hour week with a bonus and of £2.00-£3.00PH. There is also the opportunity to increase earnings through over time. In addition the company undertakes considerable training and would expect team leaders to take additional qualifications such as CS41 and MEWP. There is 28 days paid annual leave.   6. Our client is an established contractor based in Dublin running two teams of arborists. They offer all aspects of tree care to private and commercial clients, but have recently been very successful in securing some larger local authority contracts. This includes work for Dublin city such as pruning of trees in their georgian squares and public parks. There is also much more development work due to the upturn in the economy. As a consequence they are looking to take on a qualified and experienced climber to join their team as a Crew Leader. They have a busy tree section who are currently looking to employ a temporary Tree Officer The candidate will then have the opportunity to apply for the full time position. The position will report directly to the Principal Tree Officer and will involve dealing with ad-hoc tree inquiries logged by the call center from members of the public. The Tree Officer will inspect the trees in question and where necessary specify remedial works through the term contractor. In addition the tree management software will need to be updated (Ezytree - v) and correspondence sent to the public.   14. Our client is a large Arboricultural Company with a depot based in West London. They have long term contracts with several London boroughs; all of which are served from this depot. As well as local authority contracts they undertake some commercial and domestic work. They are currently looking to employ more than 1 climber. Candidates should have NPTCs for aerial use of the saw NPTC CS39 minimum and a clean driving licence. NPTC CS 41 and an E trailer licence is preferable but not essential. Ideally they would like to employ candidates with industry experience; but they will also consider newly qualified climbers for more junior positions. The role will involve working as part of a two or three man team with the opportunity to take on a Team Leader role for more experienced, competent climbers with the right attitude. In all cases the work would involve a large amount of climbing and so would be a great opportunity for less experienced climbers to improve their speed, productivity and earning potential. Their arboricultural section is well equipped and organised and currently employs a large number of arborists. As well as undertaking all the tree work with in their own council area, the DSO is contracted to maintain a neighboring authority's trees and this is where the staff cover is required (Salford). They specialise in arboriculture and ecology and undertake work for a wide range of clients in both the public and commercial sectors; managing projects for local authorities and planning departments along with work for private estates, commercial, leisure and education establishments. Established in 2008 the company now employs five consultants and due to continued growth is looking to take on another arboricultural professional in a permanent role. The successful applicant will undertake tree surveying work and prepare associated reports to accompany planning applications, tree management plans and delivery of reports to land and tree managers. Applicants should have a good understanding and working knowledge of BS5837:2012, relevant legislation and guidance, be competent in tree identification, inspection and necessary management. Previous experience and an understanding of CAD, computerised tree management systems and GIS software would be preferable.   25. Our client is a borough council in the west midlands (north of Birmingham). They are looking to recruit two Tree Surveyors for 12 months to survey council trees to ensure all tree stock is recorded on the tree management software. This includes the trees in low risk zones which have not previously been surveyed or plotted on mapping. They are looking for a fairly basic level of survey so candidates would only be required to have a Level 3 qualification and ideally some previous experience. A driving licence and own transport for work use is essential, (for which mileage is paid). Candidates will be put through LANTRA PTI as part of the package.
