  1. So they weren't talking tosh. Sort of pleased about that as like the machine they were selling but don't wish to buy from shysters.
  2. Reading this I cant work out if the rules apply to one man bands http://www.hse.gov.uk/work-equipment-machinery/loler.htm
  3. Iirc? Edit. Found it Urban Dictionary: iirc
  4. Thought I asked you not not to mention that day
  5. Ah yes of course they would ..........NOT Had LOLER and PUWER mentioned. Sounded like tosh but like to be sure
  6. Hi all. What are the rules on forklift ownership? Been talking to a couple of dealers both seemed to indicate I had to have it serviced and MOTd like a car even for own use on private land I may have got the wrong end of the stick but be nice to clarify what I legally have to do. Thanks
  7. Nothing worthy of a prize but any of these any use for firewood?
  8. Also looking for a similar sized MIG. Just been to local supplier and these were their two recommends. Any views on these machines? https://www.jasic.co.uk/mig160 http://www.migatronic.com/Files/Files/PDF/Welding_Machines/Brochures/RallyMIG/52173043_RallyMIG.pdf
  9. This was the road sign to it for a while
  10. Snag is it does not look as trodden come the end of a wet winter. To be fair though most of damage is caused through using the tractor so would probably hold up better. Yes I have not put any hardcore down by that new stack of crates but that can be easily remedied. Can skid steers take a pallet rotator?
  11. Do I need an all terrain one anyway? This is our yard and will always have a tractor and loader available for sticky corners.
  12. Thanks Joel Would a skid steer not tare up the hardcore?
  13. Stone the crows you actually bought something! How is the Kioti? we looked at them when we got the Lamborghini but it was our second choice but a lot of machine for the money. Did a search on here and saw your mission to find the right machine spread over many years Not seen one yet but good to hear you thought it was nice and simple as this would suit this prospective owner. Few about second hand now so shouldn't break the bank but still wondering if I might get away a more regular forklift but don't want to be stuck every 5 mins because it saw a bump.
  14. Don't know what's wrong with link but this is one in action [ame] [/ame] Should add our ground is nothing like as bad as that.
  15. Thanks. Good to get some feedback on them. Seems there are lots of similar type machines but the Stihl is not badly priced.
  16. Looking at ways to move IBCs of logs around the yard and came across these machines. We don't have concrete but do have relatively good hardcore base but it will get muddy on top when wet. Would also like to put a pallet rotator on whatever we get. http://www.forkliftaction.com/equipment/specifications.asp?itid=3018 Thoughts?
  17. My folks are the same. They are proud of their independence and rightly so IMO. Not going to try wrap them up in cotton wool. Will look into the Honda cordless, thanks
  18. Cant quite work out what that is but is this with an extension? [ame] [/ame]
  19. Thanks Felix I don't think she could pull start a 2 stroke these days. It's going to need to be corded or battery.
  20. Thanks Steve She did look at the cheaper range but again found it too heavy, she is in her mid 80s though. Is the pro range lighter?
  21. My ageing mum wants a strimmer for going around the edge of the lawn. She has used cheapo electric ones in the past but their lifespan as been pretty poor. Tried a baby 2 stroke but that was too heavy for her. So any suggestions and we are not talking super manicured lawn here and some of the grass will be on the longer side so a bit of oomph would not go amiss. Budget is pretty open ended. Thanks
  22. This chap [ame] [/ame]
  23. The Krpan does yes. My mate doesn't use it though and just hand-balled all but the biggest rings onto the table. Here you go http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/102822-saves-back.html
  24. 19 tonnes! good going. Used the splitter on the processor and my mate was on the Krpan splitter on the tractor. Interestingly the processor was slightly quicker but not as neat logs as you get from the vertical splitter. Should be able to see both in this one.
  25. Probably not overloaded for the trailer but easily the most wood I have ever put on it. Our little compact tractor noticed the load though
