Hi chaps, what would you go for if you worked on small stuff, domestic garden scrub, leylandii and fruit tree branches. I am fed up with smashing it up in the trailer with my bigger saw to mulch it down. My budget isnt big £2-3k. CS-100 or a 125 timberwolf. I van the trailer around and dont have a 4x4 or similar as yet. Thanks v much Nathan

Dear all, I haven't been going long as I started off as a gardener and then wanted a proffesion, so went into tree surgery and soon realised that I was making a loss giving away all the wood I was felling. I have a friendly farmer helping me with storage, the bags are sitting outside under blue tarps, but I can't keep that lot there and not make anything! I have tried locally by advertising, everyone in south birmingham wants wood (being in a smokeless zone) but they dont want to pay for it! Can anyone give me a starting point as what to do with it as I keep adding to it as the jobs come in,or indeed want to buy this lot? Its currently near Bentley, Atherstone Warks.

hi check out the LANTRA site and look for Projects and then RDPE forsetry skills. This page should help. Also as your in Wales, if your a resident there, check the Welsh forestry commision. Good luck

Hi all, has ayone got a husqvarna 272s small stump grinder or similar,they want to flog? Im doing a few job which need to remove hedge roots hawthorn, laurel etc and could do with the right bit of kit. can anyone advise? ta very muchly

I bought one early this year and ran it on aspen. It bogged when revved all the time. It bogged when I was up a blown willow, scary... Anyway I changed the fuel to stihl red mix, still the same happened and changed again to the newer stihl green mix and now I have a mega responsive strong lightweight saw. I run a 12" bar. Brill for lightweight stuff now but i am waiting for the 540t. All the best Nathan
