You gonna be on one knee kissing shoes or in a fighting stance K?? Just so as I’ll know which side of the razor wire to look for ya ?

It’s almost as if Royal Mail read my post yesterday and thought, that ArbTalk is some canny source of info for strategic planning: Royal Mail Redundancies to slash 2,000 senior leader/management jobs - Tamebay TAMEBAY.COM Royal Mail redundancies will see around half of Royal Mail's senior leaders and most senior managers lose their jobs Who’s got something to say about Tamebay?

Weakness simply emboldens the mob. Senior management/ political interface is preventing the effective keeping of law & order and bobbies are being placed in an insidious position. Cressida (doesn’t like) Dick needs to get some balls - this is comedy gold - either don’t put the bobbies in harms way and come out and say the mob can do as it likes, or do the job properly and crush this uprising before it gains any more momentum (drum roll, cymbal crash!) Alternatively, give a general make & mend to 3 Para and send them out for an afternoon on the piss in Brixton during a CCTV ‘scheduled maintenance’ period - let’s get the job done and move on.

And so the ethnic disorder commences. Fact: public disorder, violence towards police, damage to public assets in Brixton Source: Brixton: 22 officers injured and police cars smashed after street party WWW.SUNSHINERADIO.CO.UK Twenty two officers have been injured and police cars smashed up during significant disorder following a street party in... Not withstanding the other elements of ownership and agreement etc, if a subsequent application DIDN’T include the elements that have previously been approved what would be the LA mechanism for revoking/amending a previously approved application? If it was the case that some sort of tree ID or admin mix up happened at the LA end (rather than anomalies in the documents submitted by the applicant) what can they actually do to prevent the felling of tree(s) they have consented for felling? Even if there were anomalies in submitted applicant documents, it’s LAs responsibility to check and validate prior to approval - or highlight deficiencies prior to approval. If the owner took the stance: I applied, you approved, I’m going to do it.... I don’t think there is a mechanism to revoke / amend an approved planning application - except and unless there is perhaps a subsequent application for the tree(s) already subject to approval. (just focussing on that part of the question rather than the broader complexities which may exist) An interesting situation....

Maybe, but I’m not buying the 2nd typo as coincidence. Neither am I falling into that trap (I didn’t miss the ‘leanings’ from history either - but it did make me smile) ?

Haven’t you spotted the common trend? Find the most radical ‘source’ to accompany a comment so that detractors and non believers jump straight on the source, rather than acknowledging the empirical evidence which supports the point ? Its just a little game that entertains me.... Childish I know. So, regardless of the source, a small anarchistic revolution occurred in Minneapolis which resulted in the withdrawal of the forces of law and order and the ensuing chaos, lawlessness and rampant criminality. The comparison was with OSM’s ref to the perils of revolution and I think (FWIW) it was a fair point. Don’t let that get in the way of an opportunity to focus on the credibility of a source though.... I mean, is the Socialist Worker hailing it as a minor success in the people’s uprising? Surely the ‘facts’ should be the same regardless of the doctrinal opinion. Riot results in police withdrawal. Lawlessness ensues. Those that either contributed or tacitly supported (silence is violence is, I think, a current mantra) may have discovered the ‘alternative’ world order wasn’t quite as advertised. Discuss.... (or deny that is a reasonable summary)

I’ve been ‘off it’ since rather over doing the red wine and whiskey on Saturday night. Fathers Day was fragile!

Yeah, hell, you’re right..... Quoting from, and subscribing to the ideology of what is only just shy of being prescribed a terror organisation, and claiming anyone that doesn’t subscribe, or deigns to express a counter view is entirely acceptable and shouldn’t be called out for scrutiny and examination. I’ll take a leaf out of your book and pull my head in.... Has the heat pasified you ??s??

I’m inclined to agree AND I’d highlight the very much more recent and current example of revolution in the 3rd precinct Minneapolis. “The people” might find the reality of revolution (at the hands of Antifa) somewhat less appealing than the status quo if they won’t or can’t learn from history. Does that mean we’re in agreement? Result! I had to look up tumbrel.... Not heard that word so far as I can recall. Are you sure it's "tumbrel?" A day without diving into the Oxford English dictionary is a day strangely unfulfilled ?

I think you are confused. It's OK, I understand. You've been subjected to ridiculous levels of media 'slant' and probably been through an education system riddled with Left wing bias - I'm guessing you've exited the system but I've no idea at what point. All this has bombarded you through your formative years. It's hardly a surprise. As you mature and travel on the journey of life I'm sure you will gain enlightenment. It saddens me that you see 'others' as being the 'problem.' You are making statements that can be seen to be only slightly removed from being a direct quote from the handbook of an organisation (those that claim there is no organisation have their eyes closed the hardest) which is only slightly removed from being designated as a terror organisation. And yet you appear to want to be taken seriously.... I don't think you are a ½ as enlightened as you might like to think you are.... Hang in there buttercup, it'll come right when you've got a few miles on the clock. (sighs knowingly and despairs at the need to explain - this is entirely tongue in cheek, sarcasm and baiting, it's a giggle. I won't go so far as to say 'it's just banter' and present that as a shallow excuse for causing offence - I genuinely don't give a flying f*ck if you do take offence, just so as you know - but let's not all get our hairy shirts on about it. We disagree - it's that simple.)

I’ll meet you in the middle.... Maybe just top ½ of ‘em.... Think of the space that would generate on the train - no need for HS2 - double bonus no?

Just waiting for the fire to take the chill off the hot tub then I’m going in with a ? (the ill gotten gains of a capitalist) Thats a happy place!

Look at you with an almost verbatim quote from the Antifa handbook: "The only long-term solution to the fascist menace is to undermine its pillars of strength in society grounded not only in white supremacy but also in ableism, heteronormativity, patriarchy, nationalism, transphobia, class rule, and many others." — Mark Bray, "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook," 2017.

What are you blathering about You clown? All of that which you seem to have got your panties in a twist about ALREADY has its place in the legal framework. That not good enough for you? You want “thought law” as well? Bejebus.....

Are you a Stoky or a Vale flavour ??er? Can you imagine the response if some bird decided that “Delilah” should be removed from every karaoke machine and banned from being sung by the Stokies because it glorifies domestic violence? It’s beyond bloody pathetic.

I wonder how many of those >1000 signatories are citizens of nations than have, or still do, exercise sovereign power in overseas territories. Glass houses and first stones comes to mind....

It’s quite a rare treat to get a pants down Dempsey rant these days, not like the Mountain man days! And since Trigger appears to be on a sabbatical, thought I’d just make a minor contribution!

I’m not so sure it’s a single, fixed point - usefulness (dominance / importance if you like) will shift with changing times. I do recognise however that any individuals ability / willingness / capacity to capitalise upon opportunity is grounded in personality and that it is personality which dictates the levels at which some people will exploit others for their own personal gain / advancement. For every 1 person that ‘gets on’ there needs to be at least 1 opposite that needs to be exploited. Where we draw the lines is what matters. I don’t mean that in the extreme sense but it is the reality - person A employs person B and pays them a salary (hopefully they are both reasonably content) but person A has to make a profit off person B otherwise nobody puts bread on the table.

Once the computers and machines achieve parity (hell, maybe even dominance) the white collar paper shufflers will be recognised for the value they add to the world - very little - and those with the perpetual faint whiff of penetrating oil and diesel will be crowned the socket set wielding Champions of humankind! ✊?

Alright.... Keep ya shell on! Was it because I said “yoke?”
