  1. Phew...... when I started reading that I thought you were going down the line of not knowing the circumstances under which Bolam would bare his arse 😳 Was quite a relief when you veered off towards tree circumstances 😀
  2. My Nan used to get a crate of bottled Guinness from the Doc for itOn! 😂
  3. That belongs in the "Jokes" thread Mark 😆 Even Labour can't stand Corbyn 😆
  4. Whilst the village stock quip was meant in jest, made me stop and wonder what we have created that supposedly passes for 'society' these days. Example - there's a report of a creature that has taken to having a dump in public places before he gets on the bus in the morning in a nearby village as reported in the attached pic from social media (I using that as a fairly tenuous 'relevance check' for the making the news today thread.) About half the comments that have followed seem to focus on him being the vulnerable victim in need of 'help' and the other half advocate moderate to extreme vigilantism. If we accept that he needs 'help' then he joins the seemingly ever increasing line of characters that need some sort of assistance fitting into society and appear unable to take responsibility for their own behaviour. The alternative is to beat the idiot with a hazel stick until he realises the error of his ways. Is that a bit too close to Sharia? I'll mull it over and hopefully not have the misfortune to encounter this miscreant before I've succumbed to the woke agenda that will probably designate HIM as the victim.....
  5. I think referenda are rather out of fashion (except for wee cranky - and even she doesn't really want one) since they got their fingers burned by 17 million FOs 😆
  6. But as soon as Steamer mentioned it in his speech, the hysterical baying mob reacted as if he was referring to some great, almighty Diety. Many of us have had life changing / saving experiences with the NHS (I guess the overwhelming majority were actually born with the assistance of that service - not sure if Stubby pre-dates NHS??) and whilst there is much to be immeasurably grateful for, the whole institution has become like some sacred beast that may never be questioned and must be fed an ever increasing sum of money just to keep it ticking over. If ever there was a subject that would benefit from less 'heat' and more 'light' "NHS - the next 50 years" would be it.
  7. Planned and prepared then all of the above too....
  8. You forgot village stocks and public flogging - apart from that - where do I sign.....🤣
  9. Yeah, I heard that mate - talk about the blind leading the blind!
  10. So that’s Labour conference voted for £15/hr minimum wage. Apparently that’s about 12% increase. OK, so if we accept 12% rise at the minimum it follows - as sure as night follows day - that (at least) 12% would have to be added up the entire pay scale. 12% pay rise would be the end for many SMEs. 12% across the board pay rise would lead inexorably to an out of control inflation freight train. Geddon Labour - cloud cuckoo land policies.
  11. And we can't not have this little beauty again - just for shits & giggles:
  12. What the hell - whilst we're on a roll, thought you'd like this one Mark 🤣 @Mark J
  13. I said it just after Independence Day - he far outstrips the majority of contenders as qualifying under the published qualifying criteria.
  14. Are you saying Labour are electable? Not in your personal opinion, but as a viable political party ready for government? If yes, thank goodness you are in a national minority.
  15. Only just seen this and it's undoubtedly in the wrong thread but what the hell, this one's for you @Big J 👍🏻😆👍🏻
  16. And that is (just 1 reason) why Labour are unelectable. That sort of language / belief ‘might’ be understandable in the student Union bar or the working man’s club, but it is not for a supposedly grown up politician and it simply shows that Corbynism is alive and well in Labour.
  17. Yeah but Labour can’t even answer a straight question about what constitutes a woman (for example.) That’s why they are at least 2 parliamentary terms away from being electable 😂
  18. Have you developed a typing stammer J 😂
  19. Well, yeah, kinda, they do... You were disparaging of Trump And Johnson and presenting Biden as successful.... Im just saying that stance is not more broadly reflected. Not one to fall out over.
  20. Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but.... Dont let the truth get in the way of a good remoan 😂
  21. Kin’el Mark - what popularity polls have you been reading? US Biden (and his senior team) have tanked - Trump (and his senior team) are booming. UK Labour and Lib Dums still non entities in UK
  22. I f*cking did! In the van at least (Topped the truck off yesterday) Got just shy of a 1000 available miles now - that should last me about 3-4 months 😂
  23. Don’t let Les see that.... 😂
  24. Grass don’t stop growing for a fuel shortage 😂
  25. Been a queue at Morrison’s all day today - never seen the like, madness!
