  1. Happened to my ranger. The center is metal, then there is a bonded rubber section that is bonded to the pulley outer. The rubber seperates from the inner or outer, and throws the belts. can be ackward to get to with pullers. also change both belts (if there are on the l200)
  2. NFU, been brill
  3. Had Hi lux and Ranger, Loved the Hilux, but gutless. Ranger brilliant, parts excellent value (via Japanese 4x4 (Mazda)
  4. Interesting thread, I started with a very broad gardening leaflet and started with no equipment at all. I would leaflet between 9-5 each day until i got more work. If i was working 3 days in one week i would leaflet the other days. When i got my first job i would price based on what i thought time i thought it would take, sometimes it took longer, sometimes less (the only way to learn). Get some lawn signs, cheap and good, ive got some outside friends and relatives houses, and they get rotated every few days. I didn't make any money in the first few months because i had to buy the tools to do the job i had got. No excuses, you have to graft hard, but you can do well! TAX is easy, for the first few years just take 20- 25% off of every payment you get, stick it in a separate account, you'll have loads to pay NI etc, and get a little bonus.
  5. that will be hard yakka, the old boys would do a chain a day (22yds). My only advice, get a long hooked stick really helps pull down your pleachers. dont be afraid to cut out alot of material if you need. Haslemere natural boundarys
  6. Are the Camon 150's any good?
  7. If buying second hand really check the cutting deck. I had a lawnflite and didnt check properly, deck was shot. dropped the deck and welded it, was never the same again. Bought a Countax been really impressed, all the parts readily available, loads of extras available (scarifiers, sweepers, mulch decks etc). Also recommend Iseki SG15 really good tough mower
  8. I had the same problem last year, (that and all the closeboard frozen together). like many suggest, i keep a canister in my pocket, but its always an issue!
  9. Whats the opinion on Kanga in relation to boxer?
  10. Cheers guys, im going to clone myself and get more work done
  11. My understanding is it doesn't really matter if you want to be VAT or not, the second your turnover hits the limit you have to register ?
  12. Hi guys, new to the forum. (im more in the landscaping area). looking at taking my first person on, on top of the wage how much do you need to pay in tax (NI for them). many thanks, and any other advice/info appreciated
