  1. Thank you muchly
  2. Hi All, Im about to dig a trench from my house to my yard (75 meters ish) I need to put water down there and am going to put an armoured (electric) cable too, should I put a Cat5 cable down whilst at it? I want to put cctv possibly electric gate etc?
  3. seriously! 30 meters 10 bays, gravel boards, centre stumps cleats, feather edge nailed. We'd have that lot cleared, posted, and centre stumped day 1, 2nd day gravel boards and feather edge. So day and a half-
  4. You wont get 30meters up in a day
  5. At the moment, its a minimum of a days labour (by the time you add in visit, getting materials, clearing, burning, invoicing etc). Unless you have something else locally you can jump on to. Post fix goes off quick enough to work on and board up in a few hours (as long as its not very windy) That's why we don't use labourers prefer to pay higher for higher skilled, motivated individuals. nothing you cant really do on your own
  6. 312 good truck, pulls well.
  7. Anyone know where I can get a manual for a JCB 8017?
  8. We've got the new paslode lithium. It's bloody brilliant. It's got a battery shut off (turns off when not in use) 2hr charge. Fires all day!
  9. Just heard that Justins had a heart attack
  10. The Auger and the Kanga are brilliant cant fault it. we use the 4 in 1 bucket (Open and rails as long forks so can carry materials around) the p10 is fine, but I doubt it could compete with your alpine
  11. You wouldn't want more than 100kg on the knocker at full height and any slope it's a hairy moment when you step off to take the hammer release pin out. I wanted 120 and taller mast they didn't do it when I ordered 2 years ago.
  12. don't think there is a 150kg on the p10, there is on the p18.
  13. 100kg, works fine for 5 or 6" strainers. I've a 4" auger flight if I wanted to put 6-7" in. Fine for us with what we do. May get a 2.5 mini digger and move up to a p18, and have the advantage of tracks and good reach. There isn't much call for big stock fence jobs in surrey so I'm not worried about it.
  14. 99% of our work is domestic, we have quoted on one piece of decent sized stock in the last year so although id agree that if I got a bigger tractor and bigger knocker id be able to do it quicker, I haven't got the work to do it (bit pointless then) We could certainly move into this area more, but id be inclined to go tracked knocker route.
  15. weve got a p10 on the kanga. would love something bigger, but then into a whole other load of issues (bigger tractor, transport etc etc)
  16. what knocker have you got, is it on an alpine?
  17. Oh, and while were on this, Where does Doobin and any in the Haslemere area get their red diesel? I was getting mine from the pump at fernhurst fuels, but they called today and said they are moving to Petersfield and they don't have red on the pump!
  18. Aggh, hes in Stedham?, I only ever see him in the woods!
  19. Johns fine, spoke to him today, Where does Justin work (have you got his number?) Yes I saw him on CF
  20. Do you work for John Simpson? Yep I get mine from J Woolgar, No the owner is doing the clearance work (hobby)
  21. Yep, one of my guys 380 mrts
  22. Hi all, Im doing my 2012-2013 tax return, quick question on "claiming to reduce your 2013-14 payments on account" This year I became employed by my ltd company, im payed a small amount as a salary, and take other in dividends, surely I should reduce my account payments?
  23. Great thanks
  24. Ive been keeping an eye on his machines
  25. Weve got a Kanga 620d with post knocker, Auger and 4 in 1, but its the digging and better grading that were struggling with.
