  1. First of all that is more along the lines of a Disco/Freeland sport, sorry meant 'Evoque' than a Defender. Unless its a proper workable tool then don't insult the name, but they will sell loads coz lots of ***** who live in Chelsea etc think its cool, coz it looks good. Much the same as these Twisted performance 110's you see about, godawful, and wouldn't get very far off road with their stupid size tyres. I drove London to Cape Town then lived in Africa for a few years, took a LR 130 sold then in Southern Africa and drove Toyota Land Cruisers after, 80's series safari wagon and the 70 series chassis cab, if I could get hold of a decent Toyota Land Cruiser chassis cab I would. Awesome truck with legendary reliability, just go on and on for ever.
  2. Top handle saws are for pro use ONLY, so any DIY er using one has acquired it illegally, he and the seller/supplier should be held jointly liable.
  3. As far as I was aware top handled saws are for professionally qualified only and expressly NOT allowed to be used on the ground - for all the obvious reasons.
  4. Sparksy my heart goes out to you and Les's family Good luck with the run. I am a former Cancer suffer, but was fortunate to survive. Mae sure you stay in touch with the family and you can tell his boys all sorts of stories about there Dad Good luck mate Chris
  5. That would be really generous - Childrens Trust would be good Also one of the guys on here, Sparksy, lost a very good friend recently - Arborist called Les Staples, died from cancer and he is trying to raise money for McMillan Cancer Support. Thread: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/38516-running-macmillan-fello-tree-surgeon-lee-staples.html I have no personal connection, but I suffered from Cancer when I was a youngster, and was lucky to come through it - just thought it might be a good cause. A group of Arborists contributing or buying raffle tickets and the money going to a good cause in memory of another. Just my humble opinion - I'd pay a decent price for a raffle ticket or tickets. Chris
  6. Imagine that getting hung up!!!
  7. In Africa that would be a girls name! Along with Sunshine, Daybreak, Justice, et, etc I lived in Livingstone, Zambia for 6+ months a few years ago now - in those days all the 'Jumpmasters' were ex-pats, bar one local lad. The kit was fully checked every day, the Jumpmaster took the first jump and each bungee was only allowed to be used so many times, and within a certain weight bracket! This was all logged jump by jump. They had the best safety record in the industry, worldwide. I am guessing that the daily checks have gone out of the window or the firm are cutting corners, by using bungees for more jumps - would not have happened back in the day! I did Vic Falls bridge numerous times, and also Blouktrans. Chris
  8. As it says looking for same in SE London out to NW Kent Thanks
