  4. Man needed to splice my imori that I sadly just sawed through..... 60 meter now a 50 meter On the up side I have a nice new work strop
  5. I had a little play with using the ZZ SRT at the weekend. It works fine with the RW but you need to be careful.... Because of how sensitive it is to pull down means if the RW slides down to it you could go for a little ride. On the whole though..... Quality piece of equipment.... Never thought I'd say that about petzl! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Once you have got yourself to the top always worth switching to double carabiner (bottom crab to you too crab to rope) ..... Makes it much easier to move around branches. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  10. Personally I feel as though the whole industry is underpaid for the work we do. Get what you can and if you do a good job your name will be spread! Simple
  11. Go far? cheers mate.
  12. Hey guys, I have just come down for the day and thought id give some feed back on the stein vega harness. Can sum it up in one word...... Outstanding! Today I was up the tree for a good 3 and a half hours and when i got down I can honestly say it was more comfortable in the harness than out. The massive back support is fab and you know that ball crunching problem with leg loops than you can sometimes get..... their a killer right?! well with the different size harnesses ranging currently from 1 to 3 you have no problem with crunching the crown jewels any more! What I will say though it make sure you get that size right dont just buy the first one you try on ... try a couple of different sizes. Im a size 2 with a 34 waist. Other great factors on the harness are the hanging points, you have not only got your side d's as well as the ring on the bridge but an additional 2 rings you can use for your whole weight as a main line support. Just too top it off you can design your own tool loops to suit your climbing style and how you like to mount your gucci wear on your harness. Finally just as a little cheeky extra added bonus you can your free cb anchor point which sits at the back of your harness to attach your chainsaw lanyard to. All in all im massivly happy with my purchase and im hoping you will too! cheers, over and out!
  13. hello guys how are you all? what size small ring do i want to purchase to sit on my ajustable friction saver and how much?? any how.... how have you all been? coming to the apf i assume?

  14. Hey everyone, Charlie Phelan here, would just like to say a really big thank-you to all the judges and sponsors for the Capel Manor competition. In September I was working as a full time chef and magician. Okay the magic was really good fun but I had been working in fine dining for 6 years and finding it hard to escape from the kitchen..... I then by a stroke of luck met a man, Gavin Nevett , who managed to blag me onto the Level 3 Forestry and Arb at plumpton college. Since starting the course I have never been happier.... I am still working all hours under the sun in the kitchen to be able to afford my full time course as a mature student, as I don't really have any contacts in the industry, but its worth every minute slaving over stoves. We went to Capel manor expecting to have a great time competing and browsing all the merchandise we cant afford but in reality we took home a great deal more. The whole experience was a massive success, the judges were amazing, helping understand the best route to take on the challenge, the different hitches that can be used to develop your skills as a better worker in the tree and saving your body from strains that you can develop. Nick Pott for his advise and invitation to the competition in the first place and all the new equipment we were introduced to... Thank you Most of all the sponsors who with out the whole experience wouldn't have existed. I can honestly say it was a massive learning experience and too walk away with 1st place in the team event was just the icing on top. Cheers guys......... over and out!
