  9. Think going to go with Bts as have done basic Lantra course so only need to do the CS30 test which Writtle can't do and works out more money to do with the test in Epping. Would have like to do it at Writtle but works out more money. Unless you know of a way round it Gollum?
  10. Currently working clearing a lot of dead Elm. However there are alot of Elm trees about that have decent indication of still being alive at tips but bark is peeling from main limbs below and look completely unhealthy. Loathe to take them out if actually OK but instinct tells me they're not and may affect surrounding new growth? Do they need to come out? Cheers in advance.
  11. They want 12k an acre, isn't this a bit over the top? Thought the going rate was 6k per acre? Scraggs- details would be great if it falls through. Cheers
  12. Hey All, I wouldn't mind coming if that's alright? When are you going? Or you worried about getting thrashed by a Newbie?

  16. The path is approx 4' wide and is located off Lexden Road in Colchester. How much would we get for the green slabs, have seen that dry can get anything from £25 to £90 / cu ft.
  17. Can anyone help with a contact for a mobile miller. Would just need one operative and mill. The beech is 1.2m dia x 3m long and located to the rear of a Victorian house. Access is restricted by a path. Also anyone interested in the planks or sections once cut? Thanks
  18. Need 25 ton of Cordwood, green, delivered to north Essex. Have been quoted £60 / ton for a radial of 75 miles, crane off load, ash and hornbeam. Is this reasonable? Anyone have any other leads / contacts they are willing to share? Cheers.
  19. Hey saw you post about the barn. My mate is looking to rent something in the Nayland area. Where about is this barn.

Also seen a few of your other posts if we were interested in getting hold of some timber either seasoned or not have you any contacts locally.

I live in Colchester but my parents where we store our wood live in Boxted.

    Let me know.

    Cheers,

    Jim

  20. Hey All, Have 2no. Oak trunks 8.5m long. They taper from 600 dia to 350mm. Are they worth anything other than firewood? In the CM3 location, need to move before christmas. Cheers, Jim
