  1. Probably because while he was browsing Arbtalk he had another window open browsing naked ladies

But you sure they're not crappie fishing? Crappie USA :: America's Premier National Crappie Fishing Tournament Organization
  3. Mine's done - massive difference and makes for much less trouble.
  4. Does it sound good? I guess when replying through the "contact seller" thing, the problem is that not everybody checks emails all the time.

    Too hot

Spent yesterday afternoon lazing on the beach - it's only 2 minutes down the road from me Ages in the sea - swam out and punched a couple of boys.
  6. Great news man! Being able to take holidays.... what's that all about? Lucky git
  7. Have you tried calling the number on the truck, or the mobile on the Tamillek Tree Care website Tamillek Tree Care?
  8. Saturated industry or not, it's still an industry that people want to get into, just like they want to get into heaps of other industries. And for people to get the qualifications, then the college courses need to be available, and for the college courses to be available then the colleges need to be able to get bums on seats for those courses. Remember, colleges themselves are a business just like any other. And who knows what the future may hold - arborists won't live forever, hopefully trees will keep growing and more will be planted, people will always want something done to some tree somewhere or other. And a relevant qualification does help to open career doors. And as we know, there are countries that college grads can go to where there is more certainty of there being plenty of work. Surely it's better for people to go to college and develop an interest in a potential career, than it is for them to loitering around! People can keep on saying things like "saturated industry", but at the end of the day a lot of you who say that are also youngsters who have gone into a saturated industry and made it even more saturated! People will drop out over time, find another career path, retire, etc, just like in EVERY single other industry.
  9. £7.20 per cubic metre! Not that cheap really for normal garden waste. When we're doing clearance work, all loose stuff, brash etc, then we can end up with 6 cubic metres in the, squashed down and it weighs well under a tonne. On a tonnage rate at KPS it would cost £36 (incl vat) to dispose of, but doing it by cubic metres then it would be at least £43.60 (incl vat), probably more by the time our squashed in stuff has sprung out into a heap of 15 cubic metres Guess it's all much of a muchness, and if Chris is heading back Arundel way then it makes sense to go there, and if heading north then KPS would make sense. An alternative would be to try the Brighton Community Compost Centre at Stanmer Park, just on the edge of Brighton. See BCCC. Never been there myself as we try to avoid Brighton whenever possible!
  10. Same issue here - round trip is just too far, postage is just too expensive. Even buying 30 litres in one go, with postage factored in it comes out £23 for each 5 litre can! I really want to try Aspen but I'm NOT going to spend time and money, burning fuel, to drive 40 mile round trip to get it from my nearest supplier! Perhaps I should get it by the pallet and sell it on, but I don't have the storage facilities either
  11. All good now on Chrome and Firefox!
  12. Plants are usually removed and destroyed. If incinerated, then there are processes that can be used to remove heavy metals from the fly ash. Trees would typically be left to grow. Those hybrid poplars are being looked at for removing TCE (trichloroethylene) from ground water. Some interesting info on Wiki re TCE Trichloroethylene - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Old (2007) article on enhanced phytoremediation using hybrid poplars - explains quite well how it's done Enhanced phytoremediation of volatile environmental pollutants with transgenic trees
  13. Steve, did you ever read about vBulletin forums being hacked via a vbseo vulnerability? They steal Google traffic from the forums and exploit the traffic via ads. Article Online forums hacked and misused on a large scale - The H Security: News and Features
  14. Same here. A vbseo exploit might be the problem causing Arbtalk to be flagged up as an attack site. Steve, do you have latest vbseo security patch?
  15. What's new is producing hybrid Poplars that can withstand and metabolise higher concentrations of TCE.
  16. Yeah, Acorn Environmental Management Group - post made by RT400 back in Jan. You had very relevant questions and I was miffed that he didn't take the time to respond to them.
  17. Come on guys - agreeing to disagree is no fun at all On the tree love front, I'm one for the idea of planting trees to more than replace what has been felled or mullered. Now surely, that is better for the tree population as a whole.
  18. Steve, according to the block info, Google last checked the page today and found suspicious content! Here's a copy of part of the block info:
  19. It's all good stuff. Once site clean then can fell the trees for biomass energy too!
  20. Same here when I use Firefox. I don't think it's a scam attack page coming up either. Using IE at the moment. Reckon there's some dodgy ad or something. Just don't click on anything!
  21. Either the composting facility at Beddingham (on the A26 just north of Newhaven) - £19/half tonne. Or KPS at Isfield (just north of Lewes) or Pease Pottage. £15/half tonne when I went in there a few weeks back. Both KPS and Countrystyle take trade green waste and have weighbridges.
  22. With vets, they're more likely to decide your animal is fit to live if you have good insurance and pay them well. Money is more important than expertise and training. The most highly qualified vet with years of experience, who is perfectly capable of saving your precious little cat, won't save it unless he is financially rewarded for doing do.
