1. Greenscene is an excellent company to work for, they are based in Napier, Hawkes bay. They are always after good climbers and don't just do small back yard trees as they get work through Hawkes bay district council - big tree work! They have great kit and are a great set of guys always have a beer at the end of the day. I worked for them for 6 months when I was in NZ and would happily go back at some point. Napier is a nice little town. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Hi spud, I've bought little saw off you in the past and it's a belter! Time to upgrade my top handle now and wondering if you've got anything for sale? Currently own a 338xpt and has been great but the oiler isn't the best (dries up easy) so was maybe wondering if you'd do a part ex? Apart from the oiler the saw runs great ! And has just had a new air filter.

 10. Ive been climbing 3 years now and never really had any sort of break from it, and i am confident in my ability to carry out the task in hand. However, im going travelling, first to thailand then to NZ, and will then start work in NZ once there. Only thing is, ill have about a 6 week break from doing the job. I know i wont lose it completely but i am apprihensive starting in a new job, with (probably) larger trees and in a new enviroment after such a long break. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how did they manage once they got there. Cheers, Spoonz
 11. whats the difference between the petzl sequoia srt and non srt harness'?
 12. aye yeah i've seen them, but they look abit too lightweight. i really dont want my new one to sag with a saw/equipment on the back cos i think thats when i get trouble with the hips. currently looking at the 'treeflex' i just wish i could try it out...
 13. Oright guys, i'm just after a bit of advice regarding the purchase of my 2nd harness. I want something that's fairly heavy duty, that doesnt pull down when you have a biggish saw hanging from it and that supports your back and hips well. I have a lightweight thing at the moment but its coming towards the end of its life and i noticed i get hip pain with it if im working off spikes all day with a medium sized saw. I've heard brilliant things about the tree motion.... but cant face forking out £350 inc VAT. I guess i'd spend £250 on the new one. Any advice greatly appreciated.
 14. bump. any college lads out there?

 16. during my college diploma, i was on 40 a day and was thankful for that! after college, i managed to get someone who paid me 55 ground work and 60 climbing. 2 and a half years after leaving college im now on 80 climbing and 70 ground work which i am relatively happy with. NB: a days work is 8 hours, if i do any more than 9 hour days, i would expect a bit extra. as another post stated, pay increases with productivity
