  1. I did wonder if the wage topic might have been done to death, apologies! I've not frequented arbtalk since the app disappeared and I didn't think to search previous messages
  2. Having spoken to a few business owners it's become obvious that £110 is a bit low even for an entry level self employed person, especially considering the changes coming next year to the PAYE minimum wage. Is anyone willing to share their thoughts on their areas pay levels? Not that I've found anyone to have the conversation with yet but I'm wondering if £125 is closer to the mark, in East Anglia anyway.
  3. Thank you, appreciate that. I've stuck it on the facebook one
  4. Hello, I'm looking for help with domestic tree work 3 days a week, ideally Wednesday Thursday and Friday but this can be jiggled to suit. I'm based between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. I'd be happy with someone content to rake, chip and run rigging ropes but I'm also happy to take on someone interested in climbing since I'm sure I can bring on a beginner climber to a high standard. 90% of the work is job and knock back garden trees and I have a kettle, cafetiere and biscuits in the truck. £110 a day unless you have loads of tickets and experience in which case we can discuss. To discuss please call Phone: 07925853973 Email: [email protected] Many thanks, Michael
  5. Hello, I'm looking for a ground guy or girl to help with domestic tree work a few days a week, ideally Wed Thur and/or Fri. I'm based between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. To discuss please call Phone: 07925853973 Email: [email protected] Many thanks, Michael
  6. Hi, Looking to contact decent climbers who would travel to mid west suffolk (Bury area) for the odd day here and there. Good pay for domestic job and knock stuff. Thanks, Michael Phone: 07925853973 Email: [email protected]
  7. If you're in any doubt about the root cause I'd suggest an MRI scan. I spent many years and much money on physios and osteopaths until one of them suggested an MRI. They organised it and the cost was £150 ish but it showed a collapsed disc at l5/s1. Some NHS bolts and screws and I now have no back pain. Point is up until that MRI all I was doing was treating the symptoms not the cause.
  8. I use a 20mm thick 2x2m bit of rubber matting on top of old car tyres, it takes almost all the bounce out of rings or cord. The matting is a bit heavy but worth it.
  9. I've ordered the foam stuff, will let you know how it goes. I'm the OP btw got two accounts for some reason
  10. Helping my 5 year old with hers, surprised at how advanced they are at that age. Impressed with the teaching techniques and variation which is resulting in her reading and numbers noticeably improving. Some super basic science but no history yet. Her teacher is doing a great job keeping the homework fun and we are reading lots, hope its enough to keep her top of her class when they go back!
