  1. I Say keep unless the wound is showing obvious signs of decay or fungus fruits in the stem/base over the Autumn. Its not big enough yet to be causing issues to neighbouring house and if its flushing well why get rid of it? If the client is saying wants rid then the argument is mute none the less. The other option is a pollard, it wont look prettty but will reduce root area Re:neighbours property. I did spot some kids play stuff in the next garden so i guess thats a consideration too. Why take down a reasonably healthy tree?
  2. Hi All I was thinking of doing a course about BS5837 with the hope it might make more employable in a Arb consultant role has anyone been on one of these courses and have good things to say and whether its worth doing or not? Thanks

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
