  8. Hi Guys, I have recently been going through the process of getting an operators licence. After running 3500kg vans for the last 10 years I recently decided to take the plunge and get myself into a 5500kg van. Easy process and very straight forward.....so I thought! Hmmmmmm This has been the fastest steepest learning curve of my career by 1 million billion miles!!! I came across a fantastic bloke who's company is called 'COMPLY', his name is Rob Wilson & if any of you are going through the same thing at the moment by all means give him a shout, he makes everything so simple and he will talk you through everything making it really easy to understand. He will do as much or as little as you want him to. He does everything from O licences to Tacho rules and regs along with everything else. I really cant praise him enough for the time, effort and help he has given me. 14. The figures came from the sales brochure The reason I am asking is I need to know the maximum payload so I can give the correct spec to the body builders for my new chip box. I dont want to have a chip box built so when im fully loaded I am only 4800kg and likewise I dont want to have an over sized chip box which will put my GVW to 6000kg. I want to get it just rite especially for aerodynamics, dont really want 3 ft of chip box sticking over the top of the cab height when its not needed. God my head hurts...

  18. The problem i have is: I have a 3.5 tonner tipper Mk5 hilux non tipper We do lots of on road every day front and back garden tree work. We also do lots of off road tree work for house builders, northumbrian water etc... We can leave chip on site sometimes but most of the time the chip needs to be removed. I need to find the perfect system for my work, options are as follws: 1) Buy defender 130 tipper and run along side my 3.5 tonner 2) Sell my 3.5 tonner and buy iveco 4x4 (mpg unknown so may be a gamble) 3) Sell my 3.5 tonner and buy a cheeper transit tipper, buy a mog Any other options are more than welcome and will be apreciated...
