  1. WOW! Call the police:post: They just tried to blackmail you with a forged document to do an illegal act. I wouldnt even wait till the neighbours get home, these people need to know they cant push people around like that. SHOCKING:sneaky2:
  2. Fantastic post Gibbon you have been blessed with an insight into this world that i am extremely jealous of. I wish it was me going to meet these people, as i have the upmost respect for all indigenous peoples around the world. I will just have to keep watching Ray Mears and the likes when they go visiting.
  3. Do you want the ball to go through the pinto or jam in the pinto for retrieval? if you want it to go through then i dont think there is one that small (not 100% sure) so you will need to make one yourself with a monkeys fist. I use a pinto just attached on to the small ring of my cambium saver with a karab but its the small end i.e. the ball jammer
  4. Good luck mate If you need a hand with anything just give me a shout.

So they got it working at last? Nobody having problems anymore? post up if yours is a donkey. I dont need one but i could be tempted just for the boys toy factor
  9. pics would help. Not just a pic of the tree but pics of surroundings, base, trunk, root plate, area affected etc. more info you show us the easier to make an educated guess.
  10. I am liking the look of that first one.
  11. its a cracker aint it:001_rolleyes: i am hoping we can just leave it as it is, mainly because i dont fancy going anywhere near it. I would say its far enough off the path to be left but will need to see what the powers at be say about it. We had some real beauties in that woodland and an interesting day among the multiple windblows. All good fun:thumbup:
  12. Alarm bells ringing there for sure, that lady is at it 100% and has no hold over you legally whatsoever seeing the trees are not even hers! Have words with the rightful owner anyway and if she wants the work done (which i doubt) then get the money upfront or walk away. Thats just got problems written all over it.
  13. apple just got an iphone 4s for my birthday so now i can be all modern like you lot:lol:
  14. just found one called treetrees from jost benning and looks like it has fungi as well.... there is a free version too but i guess wont have much info in it but will download it to get a taster and will report back.
  15. on the tree id side i found another from clevermatrix ltd called tree identifier... anyone used this one?
  16. I found something called iSetSquare from them, is that it?
  17. very true but not as large as we would conceive as large nowadays, the numbers of population they were talking about doesnt even come close to a large modern city and they are talking about the entire amazon area which is way bigger than any city.
  18. i should mention that its pushing against another tree with the crown so there will be compression on both sides of the split. Its close to a public path but not hanging over it, thats why we left it for now till someone comes up with a non saw jamming, wood exploding idea. I am guessing tractor and winch and just pull it out the ground...
  19. Check this bad boy out! been doing windblow and storm damage every day this year so far and have not had one that confused my tension and compression eyes like this saw jammer... any ideas what to do with this except for some tnt?
  20. What was the clinometer one cos there is lots of them out there?
  21. thanks mate:thumbup: will hold off downloading any for now till i get more feedback, just putting the feelers out at the moment to see what there is:001_smile:
