  1. Morning and seasonal greetings. Everything sorted for Christmas so a quiet morning up the farm clearing fallen trees and the odd dead ash for the farmer and my log store...when I can get in there with the truck in spring. A happy place.
  2. Morning Last day. Friday. Hooray! Load of Oak delivered yesterday. Mucho splitting ahead.
  3. Seasonal salutations. Morning Having a fair blow up here too. Not light enough to see if I'm busy or not. Good Luck All.
  4. Morning Off to London. Last time. Then relax. Have a great day.
  5. Morning Mild and wet. Fire on. Counting down to Friday morning....peace
  6. Morning Last week of work. Still getting buzzed to complete stuff...and they wondered why I want out? Anyone else would have been shuffled off and out. Lovey and mild. Hopes for a nice afternoon.
  7. Morning Restless hounds so up early. 2 x loads of logs out today. Then Done till 2024 I hope.
  8. Morning Clear and cold. Secret Mission: Off to Pompey to see my Old Dad. 😉 😁
  9. Sorry to burst your bubble. No. The original firm had MoD contracts and so I had all the Security vetting to go "places". Keys were just Masters for a load of Comms Cabs. They don't want me being a bad chap now I'm leaving. Plus they can be re-allocated to someone else. Boring, eh? Sorry.
  10. Morning Off to London handing in my secure keys and on the last few days of work. What a relief.
  11. Recently purchased a Big MIll. An Older version and so the current manual doesn't contain the relevant setup or part numbers. Anyone got a scan of the old manual? Please
  12. Morning. Agree @Doug Tait Mrs and I sat down last night and couldn't believe it was ONLY Wednesday. Felt like a Thursday all day. Hey-ho one more week to go and I'm done.

    Mince pies

My only disappointing pie is one is the one that reveals a massive void inside and a measly smear of mincemeat. Makes yer mouth dry just thinking about it........reaching for the Tea to wash it down.

    Mince pies

Stollen all the way. Brought some snack sized mini Stollen back from Hannover in October. They didn't last a week. Mince Pies have their place but with custard only.
  15. Morning. Feeling better. Weather slightly improved but still a river across the road.
  16. Morning. Same rotten weather as @Stubby doesn't help the mood or the new cold. Quiet day ahead.
  17. Morning Here...with a "seasonal cold" Not bad just running at 80% Fresh air will sort it.
  18. Morning Made it.
  19. Morning Was brisk at 3 when the dogs wanted out. Milder now. High hopes of a nice quiet day ahead.
  20. My experience of a paraffin turbine thing and calor heater are that you get immense heat but loads of fumes. So much that you need to vent, and almost cancel the heat gain. Then add the water vapour and condensation If I had the means I'd put a wood burner in, but it'd need more work than any gain. Stick with electric.
  21. The Pic is a rip from the Forestry England website. Not getting my hopes up yet. Timber and the uses of wood WWW.FORESTRYENGLAND.UK England’s forests provide wood that is part of our everyday lives. Find out how the trees we grow end up in your home.
  22. Morning Nothing exciting here....more documentation... zzzzzz
  23. Morning Damage report - Zero Just a bit soggy. Onwards and upwards.
  24. Morning. Warmer and wet. No logs today. Quiet.
