  1. Sorry I'm late Doug. Been a hectic week and as today is an off day I'm catching up on chores. Mrs is cracking the whip and first chance I've had to "surf" today. Spring is on the way. Defo. Discovered a robin nest in the log pile so that's out of bounds for a few weeks. Got a load of dead ash to cut split (when allowed) and then more up the farm blown over in the recent blow up. Happy day

  4. Hi there. Got out of Telecoms and London (underground) now working for a contractor at Gatwick. Servicing an Orange airline. Close to home and offers the spare time to continue my firewood and milling obsessions. Cheers.

  8. Morning Bit late, sorry Doug. Bright when I was up at 5 letting the old dog out. Went back for a rest and Lo it's bloody 8:30
  9. Remembered much the same. Etch primer on Ali on the old Land Rover. The only reason I questioned whether it was an epoxy was the thickness of it. It seemed thicker than your regular painted metal.
  10. Showing my ignorance.... is it definitely paint? Not an epoxy coating? I remember from chemistry at school magnesium was one of those metals like aluminium that made it a bit complicated to create the chemical bond to stick stuff to it.

  17. Morning Lay in...Long day. Dorking won. Got to see the brave Welsh. England match was a blur... Soggy again. Grateful of the decent clear/calm day yesterday. Proper day off.
