  1. Agreed. Then that would mean springs. Mine were plenty bouncy enough empty just on the rubber. Put springs on it? At least the Sankey had some weight in them by virtue of their construction.
  2. I've never had this with any of my small trailers. Had bearings wear and wheels threaten to escape, never the whole unit.... Couldn't it be solved by having a "tab" welded on the inside so that the shaft can't be pulled through the tube?
  3. Good Morning Happy Hump-day Wednesday. Another week and month well on the way. Time flies when you are having fun!
  4. Morning Woken by a noisy motorbike @ 5:00 grumble...... More driving to Berkshire, just shy of Reading. Have a pleasant Tuesday.
  5. Morning campers. Back on the merry go round. Reading or bust Have a good one.
  6. Good Morning Lovely day yesterday, hoping for a repeat. Sunshine and sawdust, perfect. Early finish (pause) for Rugby and that'll be it. Cracking Be good. p.s. Play up Pompey!
  7. Bloody lovely out there. Got to make the most before the clocks go forward. Be safe.
  8. Not really. You have everything there you need to order a new chain and or bar. Typing 91P056X into google gives multiple vendors. As does 160sdea041 for bars.
  9. Good Morning Have a lovely day and a great weekend. Be Good
  10. Yes, the lighter mornings change my whole demeanour. Not scrabbling around the dark is quite lovely.
  11. Morning, brrr. Absent, Sorry. Early start and a long day in Swindon. Back to Berkshire today and a hopefully easy one. Be joyous, the weekend is nearly here!
  12. My 2p worth. If you buy new, you have provenance. You KNOW it has been maintained and had good oil/fuel. I have a 661 (purchased new 2019) and a 6 month old (when I got it 881 - 2020). The 881 every day for milling from 20" to 40" wide. If you are after 14" to 24" then 661. I'd still go for new. Looked after and loved , as they are, they'll be worth something...or earn their weight. Which they have. My 2008 660 was retired and made helped pay for the 661.
  13. Good Morning Another brisk one. Long day in deepest Berkshire today. Tomorrow in Wilts and back to Berks. Going to be a long one. Have fun.
  14. Use L&S Engineers. Buy the STIHL part from them. Still have my 1999 MS230 and it is still a good giver. L&S Engineers | Top Supplier of Spare Parts for Construction and Garden Machinery | L&S Engineers WWW.LSENGINEERS.CO.UK L&S is one of the UK's largest spare parts companies. 15. Good Morning Brr again. Lovely sunny weekend though. Back to the grind. Be good.
  16. Good Morning Another crunchy one. Looks like it'll be a lovely one. Re Z1300. I only had L plates at 17 but was allowed to rumble down the close on it. Went to put it on side stand and nearly died as the stand touched the ground. Started to let go of it and it then went over another inch or so. I thought I'd lost it. Turns out it was normal. First ride as a pillion was at 9 on a Z1 then at 14 on a KH250. Hence my love of K's Have a joyous one.
  17. GPZ 1100 F Sorry, Pete. "moped" is because my cousin who got me into bikes insisted that after he bought and rode his Z1300 (6cyl), that every bike that he rode under 1300cc's before that was a moped in comparison. Old habit I can't get out of. Bit like every Land Rover and subsequent Ranger has been the "shed". Because it's where you end up dumping all your old cr@p.
  18. Good Frosty Morning When it warms up.. Going to see if I can find where the fuel pipe that came off the moped goes. Infuriating. Have a good one.
  19. Good Morning Yes, Brrrr. Mind you, looks like a lovely weekend ahead. Be good.
  20. Good Morning Someone is feeling the joy, birds giving it the absolute beans. Bright enough already too. Summers coming. Have a good one.
  21. Good Morning Humpday Wednesday already. You ok @Stubby? Have a good one.
  22. Good Morning Back on the Merry go Round. Have a good one.
  23. Yep! A1, Top Quality pottering. 👍
  24. Well that didn't go to plan! Rainy and so went to garage to have a play with the moped. Rid it of the broken ABS pump. LED light unit flickering. No probs I have plenty of spare parts and units. An hour later after blowing up my spare LED driver unit a new unit is fitted. Now to play mopeds....not until tank is drained and all the plastic is off. What's this? a broken scottoiler? Off. Misc wiring changes. Tidied and soldered. Now to the ABS. Can't get a spanner to grip the 10mm compression fitting. (Lots of swearing) Liberate pump. Minimal brake fluid leakage. Next hour spent removing the cut/crimped and sawn lines the bike garage left in situ. Fixed vacuum line that scottoiler was bodged into. Should run loads better. Moped now 3.5kg lighter and a useful bit of under seat storage. Time for a rest and write a list of parts needed before it is safe to be on the road again. Pottering marathon over. Back to work tomorrow, so net weekend looks fun.
